PS4 and Xbox Rumours

My 360 is set to just launch the game when it boots, no need to be disconnected.

It seems like he's talking about updates and being constantly connected to everything and everyone. Which is why I said just disconnect it from the Internet and then he won't get any prompts for updates or any of the other stuff, not really the sort of thing I'd do personally but whatever. :p

You again with these same nonsense comments, why do you spend so much time on the dashboard and why do you constantly sift through junk? What are you looking for that you need to sift through junk?

If I want to download an arcade game or something, there's 2 screens of adverts and stuff to sift through. If I want an app like IE(which MS made a big fuss over) then it's 4 or 5 screens of adverts I have to put up with.

May as well just buy a PC?

It's bad enough sifting through all the junk and ads on Xbox Live, let's not make it worse.....
sifting through junk ads on Xbox Live?

guess your 360 must be different to mine as I've never had to sift through ads to get to what i'm after on the dash..

just not true at all.

you dont need to sift through the tiles?

How is it not true? To get to games I have to press RB twice,to get to apps I have to press RB 5 times. Unless you know a shortcut to get to them.

But you still have to move through all the sections - home>social>games>tv&movies>music>apps. All are full of adverts for things i'm not interested in. Sure,I can just quickly skip past them but they are still there.

Still not getting your need to sift? unless you think there should be one menu with everything in it? Which wound not be ideal IMO.

There is one ad tile on each page apart from social and settings which have none, the rest of the tiles are highlighting relevant content for that section, which seems sensible enough to me.

You can pin apps to the My Pins tile on the home page negating the need to go to apps. Press x on the app you need to keep sifting to use and pin to home ;)

For me BC will ve vital for both, and these new machines will both be powerful so there's really no excuse frankly

There's plenty of reasons why I doubt the PS4 will be backwards compatible and the main reason is Cell, there's no way they will be able to emulate that properly and since a lot of games used Cell to get around the poor GPU in the PS3 I can't see it being emulated any time soon.

To be honest feel im more likely to go for the WIIU/PS4 combo this generation.
The 360 in my eyes has turned into a misdirected mess.
The dashboard is a bit awful and I much preferred the one with the premium themes circa 2009?

Couple that with the fact that there are no longer any 360 exclusives im all that interested in and that Playstation are finally ditching the awful controller and there you go.
