This is pretty much the key here. I imagine the Xbox will end up limited to Freeview and thats if they secure a deal.</speculation>
Oh dear this mandatory install thing and user fees will be sticky.
Would like some confirmation of what that means to second hand games from shops.
I swear we've got a whole lot of idiots in here. What's the downside to a console that plays the same games and does more than another one?
Seriously:
Same games.
Kinect.
TV integration.
Better controller.
Just as many exclusives.
If the price is similar, it's looking like you'll get a whole lot less for your money with Sony.
Don't forget that Xbox one has inferior hardware, and charges you extra to play a used game (bwaha)I swear we've got a whole lot of idiots in here. What's the downside to a console that plays the same games and does more than another one?
Seriously:
Same games. (Same multiplats on PS4 along with superior first party games)
Kinect. ( Playstation Eye)
TV integration. (nobody cares, i want a games console please)
Better controller. (I prefer the dualshock)
Just as many exclusives. (I prefer playstatio exclusives)

The bit I don't get is 360 already does this stuff and no one thinks it's a carp console, One just looks to me as if as well as doing the next gen gaming stuff which we'll see at E3, it take 360s existing media/internet/iptv stuff to next gen as well. How is that bad?All most people are saying is its a lot of fluff we dont want\need.

Looks like a complete white wash for the PS4, unless you want a DVR instead of a games console.

TV integration. ok
Better controller. Debatable
Just as many exclusives. (this year says hello)

I waited to see what was announced before deciding. PS4 is a clear winner for me now. extra features aren't a negative, but on xbox one they are the main features and gaming is the extra feature, and that's definitely a negative.Bit rich coming from the leader of the PS4 defence force it seems?
Do exclusive games and consoles your friends own suddenly not matter at all? Just because it has extra features doesn't mean it's a negative... it's just a bonus. Unless of course there's a big price difference, but there won't be, or at least shouldn't be.
less with Sony lol

Of course if it turned out to be a pants gaming machine that would be a different thing but as far as we know it has the same memory size as PS4, bluray, decent HDD, same CPU as PS4 etc, the only thing we're not sure about yet is the GPU unless I missed something.
I'm starting to wonder if both consoles are actually the same design in both CPU, GPU and RAM.
What a silly thing to say, given what we know of the spec so far that's clearly not the case anymore than it is with the exiting 360s media capabilities (or PS3s for that matter).I waited to see what was announced before deciding. PS4 is a clear winner for me now. extra features aren't a negative, but on xbox one they are the main features and gaming is the extra feature, and that's definitely a negative.
