PS4 and Xbox Rumours

Last time I checked, Kinect is a pretty impressive piece of kit. Move, not so much!

I think you'll find the move accuracy is much more precise than Kinect actually, which would surely mean its more impressive in some respects? The reason Kinect is getting so much headway is its being PUSHED by MS. Move, not so much.

But regardless, I hate motion controllers.

best thing about kinect is the voice commands.

Nope. already confirmed that the PS4 was jointly designed by Sony and AMD, so unless you think there is Sony designed hardware in the xbox one...
So far it seems both use AMD Jaguar 8 core CPU, 8GB RAM, Bluray, Wifi and decent hard drive, we just don't know the GPU yet I don't think.

I just really don't understand how people are acting like the games being locked to an account isn't a big deal. If i buy a game for xbox one and then my brother wants to play it as well, he will have to pay extra money to do so? That's an absolute joke IMO.

Has this been posted yet?

"Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes," Microsoft's Harvey Eagle told press (as reported by IGN).
As it comes with it doesn't seem a downside to me anymore than my PC having a webcam/mic attached. I'm assuming it's not compulsory to use voice commands/gestures any more than with 360 although it will be handy for some voice controls, Skype etc.

Actually I vaguely remember playing a game at some point that allowed voice commands to my squad that worked really well for me, that could be interesting.

cannot be bothered reading through all the crap, can anyone sum up the xbox reveal in a concise post or point me to a youtube video which does this?

Indeed, all the DERP twitter style posts during these things become very tedious. It's best waiting until tomorrow for a 10 bullet point round up.

Xbox named XBox One

Xbox Live features a new Home screen featuring all manner of entertainment and social media options.

Integrated Kinect commands for the interface and switching between games, movies, TV etc with a shout as well as a splitscreen like feature allowing you to do things such as browse the web alongside watching a movie.

Integrated TV guide and viewing.

Some more TV stuff...

Very brief details about the hardware, furthering the speculation that is is weaker on PAPER than the PS4 is said to be.

A lot of hot air from EA about their sports games and some FIFA UT features being Xbox exclusive.

15 exclusives due out in the first year. One of which was teased with 10secs of CGI and the rest live action acting.

Call of Duty trailer. Call of Duty DLC is Xbox TIMED exclusive. COD gameplay footage.

And that's about it...

Is that concrete? Surely they'll just do it as they do now that as long as the owner account is on the same Xbox, all other accounts can access the item?

going to steer clear of this thread for a while until the fanboys stop bickering and stick to youtube. someone on there will have a round up video soon enough.

From what I can make out, MS showed an entertainment centre, whilst Sony showed a games console.

As already said, I'm not bothreed about all the fluff that is coming with the Xboxone, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've used bing on my 360.

Short version is it seems it will be a next gen version of the 360 including all it's media/TV/Xbox internet browser/skype capabilities. People annoyed they focussed too much on the media stuff and we have to wait for E3 to hear anything concrete about it's gaming capabilities beyond the few bits mentioned today about Forza 5/COD: Ghosts/FIFA14 UT and a bunch of NFL stuff for the septics :)

New console looks shiny. Trending stuff which translates as idiots are using/watching/saying.

Ultimate team exclusive stuff and a lot of ea cgi.

You get a dog in Call of Duty.

Oh and Halo is getting a TV show.
