PS4 and Xbox Rumours

Hmm, yeah I misread that. Still, I find the touchpad on the back of the Vita utterly useless as well. So far I haven't played a single game that utilizes it in a decent way.

It'll go the same way as the SixAxis tilt. The first few launch games will use it, but developers will soon get bored with it, rendering its use solely for moving loading screens ever so slightly.

Could be used well in mini-games within a game I guess - like opening locks ala Splinter Cell or Thief (or silly gesture games like Fruit Ninja) - but as part of the main game other than changing the direction/zoom of the camera, mini map or something I cant see it being that game changing. I get the feeling they wont be changing the button layout at all...

ps3ud0

Ninja Gaiden sigma had the best use of the six axis :D

The Kotaku spec reads like a PC Dev Kit for a console we can get some idea of the console but not much.

I'll probably get both, depends if Sony are going to bother with party chat or not, it's useful.

I would be shocked if they didn't include it this time around. It was constantly rumored to be in development for the PS3 but lack of Ram and issues with older games that were released before the in game xmb halted the majority of those developments.

Japan is fine. they are kings of electronics. Also have decent making car companies too.

its the UK that needs money

Japan have been in economic crisis for decades, also the thing you're talking about on the Dreamcast was just a memory card with a screen built into it. Nothing like having a touchscreen and a world away from the Wii-U etc. Also you'll have to define huge success for me, I loved my Dreamcast dearly but it was anything but successful overall. Not sure if you read the news much but Japanese exports are down and South Korea are the new king of electronics.

I was saying this to a friend the other day. I love the Vita but the touch pad on the back is just pointless. In uncharted you used it to rotate objects that you were cleaning, it was way to annoying and could have been done much easier with the sticks.. just a case of using it for the sake of it. I really hope the new consoles don't stick stupid things like this on there just for the sake of it.

The cleaning objects in Uncharted was incredibly frustrating, but something which was even more frustrating was those parts were you had to hold the Vita up to a light source in order to see some hidden message. SO annoying because it took me a good 5-10 minutes of moving my Vita into different positions directly over a lampshade for it to even recognise the light source.
