Agreed.

All this architecture will do will make the cross platforms easier and cheaper to make.

Its not going to make all the people that develop PlayStation games bring them out on the PC.

maybe i should have said a lot of stuff id play will be on the pc also. sure obscure japanese rpg's wont be, but i had my fill of them 20 years ago.

only big things il have to buy it for will be gran turismo and metal gear.
 
Why are people arguing about graphics? No one buys a console if they want nice graphics, you get one for the exclusives and ease-of-use.

its always a 1:1 ratio or thereabouts due to differences in tax systems, etc.

think about it, who wouldn't go for the cheaper, longer paying option, it's always more expensive to pay over a longer period of time.

Xbox 360 launch in US was $399 - it was £279 here.
 
That was probably around the time that £1 was worth nearly $2 though. I seem to remember buying all sorts of stuff from US websites because it was cheap enough to do so, even with the extortionate shipping costs.

Yup. It's not unusual with PC games to have to Google for solutions to various performance issues. Sometimes your hardware is more than good enough, but doesn't play nice with the way the game is coded.

Just this afternoon I fired up Tomb Raider: Underworld. It's an old game and should run fine on my 7850. But no. Stuttering like mad. Today I'm tired and can't be bothered to find a solution. So I quit the game.

This does not happen on a console. You put the disc in, it plays. After a hard day's work you want your entertainment to be hassle free.

And yes, the exclusives :)
 
GAC wrong you just need 2 play in 3d and you get 50% of fps gone. Then you can sue titan for 1080 and its not enough :D

PS4 i am getting one for exclusives :)

I find the integration of Live on the 360 dashboard to be far superior to whatever it is that was tacked on to the XMB. I get the Hub/Community feel every time I turn on the 360 and see what my friends are playing/who are in party chat etc. I just don't get the slightest feeling at all from the XMB of any of that.

I also think that going in to next gen MS will unveil some things that will have Sony playing catch-up again when it comes to OS features.

Indeed. I have been playing my 360 a little more lately, and I have to say the dashboard is an utter mess compared to the XMB. The dashboard is basically a glorified advertisement and is very cumbersome to navigate. What was wrong with the original dashboard? I loved that... quick, simple and effective.
 
do you think you will be able to delete games from your games list this time around. on xbox live i really hope so i cant count how menny game tags i have lost. due to puting a crappy game on i wish they allow you to delete games of your list what do you guys think to this idea ? :)
