Racing Simulators

Yeah, I have days like that, it's horrible when you keep trying and it keeps going horribly wrong, I've learnt to give up quickly :p

well I couldnt help myself and joined another race this afternoon. Luckily the skippy race was filled with really slow people (I'm slow) and I managed 2nd ;) even though some bloke rammed me after I passed him.

If anyone fancies an upgrade I've got a fanatec gt3rs v2 that I'm just not getting on with, my desk is just to high for the steering angle, got a set of g25/27 pedals plus bodnar box to go with them too. Think I'm going to look out for dfgt.

Cheaper ways to get iracing content is to use the buy $75 and get $25 free, plus the more tracks/cars you buy in one go the more discount you get. Race in a complete series and get $40 a year(free money for racing , what more do you want!!)

Looking at the cost of iracing I'm quite happy to pay the price of a couple of xbox games for a years racing with people who aren't there to bump you out the way for a quick win.

The best racing I've ever had , and I'm sorry to say I may never got back to rfactor again.

Advice to anybody New to iracing is get out of Rookie as soon you can.Time trail is always a safe way of doing this. The Skippy is the perfect way to learn some proper racecraft once you get the chance.

I think the $25 free when you buy $75 is finished now? Was just over the weekend for <something or other>, could be wrong and can't seem to find anything about it,

And yeah, 3 or 6 (or more) items to get 10 or 20% discount, or getting upto 100% content (admittedly that's a hell of a lot from the start, but for those people keeping it there) gives 25% off.

Now that I've got 100% content it's generally a max of 2 or 3 pieces of content every 3 months when they do the major updates which at 25% off really isn't much, well worth it, ignoring the amount I've already spent, including 3 26" monitors, several pc upgrades and the G25 ¬_¬ :p

On the note of the 3 monthly updates, was reading the forums today and noticed a thread about the new tyre model, I'd almost forgotten but, barring any last minute bugs/issues found, in around a months time we'll be getting a new update bringing a whole new (and supposedly massively better) tyre model for some cars (I think it's the top 3 oval cars and possibly the F1/Indycar on the road side). Really looking forward to that as well as any other changes they manage to implement :)

I'm so angry. I just did a qualifying session on Laguna Seca in the MX5, I think I completed 3 clean laps in 20 minutes, and racked up about 20-25 incidents, which is going to rape my SR even more. I can barely get round the track tonight, last night was alright, and now this.

I feel like smashing my wheel and monitor right now. I'm pretty much stuck in Rookie class forever!

I find watching your replays helpful to see how you are attacking corners(in a far out camera)

Haha, how random, how come you were watching?

Did you watch me the whole race? My internet is screwed tonight, I was lagging, but fortunately cars around me were smooth as you like. Did you see the finish?

I'm just uploading a video of it to YouTube :p

Poor form by the green car. You got a much better run out of the last turn and he could tell would pass him before the finish line so proceeds to bash into the side of you. I didn't expect that sort of driving on iracing. Nice win though :D
