Racist or not?

Yes it would. I said before, all white men: milky white gwar > pink gammon > sunburn brown - all fine. But start adding the black element and all of a sudden people start taking offence.

Why are they taking offence? What do they find offensive about this specific image?

Lol, I couldn't give 2 fecks about the picture. The question was whether it was racist or not - I believe it is.

The 'joke' gets its laugh from people's skin colour.
Stop trying to be clever - the black dudes. As i say, if they were all white, we would be laughing about it.

So they are using skin colour to promote a joke.... Why do you find it's ok and be able to laugh about it if it's making fun of white people but it's not ok as soon as PoC are involved

Why does it only become racist as soon as PoC is involved in it?

@Tony Edwards - I did ask but can't find an answer - what makes this meme image racist?

Because it isn't politically correct for people to be racist against whites - apparently that doesn't happen.

People of Colour is also out of favour this week, we are now told that they are proud of their specific colour and so have to call them black etc.

Er, because the colour of their skin is being used as a joke?

So why did you single out it only being offensive and ergo racist to the black person in it?

Is it not offensive and racist to the white person in it in the same way?

I was recently in a group where a picture was shared of four football commentators.
One was white, one white and tanned, one mixed race and one black.

The picture text comment was "They remind me of the settings on my toaster!"

Racist or not?

If you’re white it’s racist. If you aren’t then it’s not.

That’s how racism normally seems to work these days……..

Sorry if I missed anything as I had to skip past the wet sponges comments.

My take is if the joke had been the same, but added that everyone hates burnt toast, then it would have been racist.

As was, was nothing more than a comment that all could enjoy, well at least until the sponges pop up and point fingers!

Yes it is, but as I already said and the post below you said - only non-Whites can claim racism apparently.

Awesome, thanks for that, no idea what is got to do with the OP's question though? Ie is the image racist?

It's to do with the fact that you stated only non-whites can apparently claim racism... My link shows that to be incorrect

So, based on that - why do you feel the image is only racist to the black person in it and not the white?

I'm trying to avoid slipping down a dowie-hole here...

I think you need to recalibrate your sarcasm gauge ;)
