really getting fed up with the posts stating RTX/DLSS does not work this gen

I'm not a developer, I'm a customer who has an RTX card in my computer and have used RTX/DLSS first hand, and the results to me show it as really good. From a business perspective if the costs and development is too much then I'm sure they'll enhance or redevelop it into something new, this doesn't mean from a perspective of the customer that it's not a success.

Business perspective
Customer perspective

Two different things.

I'm playing at 4k with 1080P DLSS and it's smooth with ray tracing on high on Control.? 1440P gets choppy but perhaps shouldn't. Any game with RTX is playable above 800x600.

So if I disable DLSS, have control running at 4k and enable image sharpening is it going to boost FPS to the same point of DLSS without having to lower settings making image quality worse?

I'm struggling to see DLSS looking crap, I had it on my 4K samsung TV and struggle to see why people think it's so terrible, like I really couldn't see how, this was DLSS running on my computer with a TV in my room in front of me. RTX on high.

On what GPU? A GTX1070 for instance won't give playable FPS at higher resolution with proper use of RTX.

You sure? @Gregster seems to be loving DLSS and he has a ultrawide monitor. You telling me he is playing his RTX games 16:9 on his ultra wide monitor?? Lol! :p

Time to upgrade to an 4K monitor Gregster mate :D;)
pretty sure diss doesn’t work 32;9 cos the machine doesn’t learn that res. Am I wrong?

Well unless Loadsamoney is talking loadsa out of his rear then yes :p

I don't have ultrawide, so don't know. 16:9 fill my vision just fine and no black borders when the cut scenes hit ;)

Plenty of people asking for ultra wide dlss support on the web. Newest thread was 2 months ago so Nvidia may well have implemented it now. It could even be on a game to game basis what's supported.

I get 27fps all on, rtx full, 4k native. Considering some modern games struggle with 60fps 4k on a ti with no rays, that's pretty good going
Can you show us a screen shot of RT On Max 4k Native vs Native 4k?
2080Ti 1% Min
Native 4K High Preset (No RT) = 31 fps
Upscaled 4K (DLSS 1440p) RT High = 31.4 fps

RTX On or Off, this games needs a 3080Ti.
Can I see a screen shot of each?

there is already so many scvreenshot comparisons posted already, people just need to scroll up and read previous pages
I see Dlss vs no dlss, I see 4k native. But I see zero screen shots of Control 4k RT Max on vs 4k Off. Or Control 4k Native RT Off vs 4k RT on with DLSS. With an FPS counter.
