I only like it when general lighting is raytraced the off vs on in Metro really is stunning and in Minecraft the textures change so much.
But flamethrowers, And reflectons on the wooden gun stock like in Battlefield seem like a scam? It seems like they are basically overdoing it for no reason.
It seems to be a case of devs have got so good at fudging it, that now that it has started to be done accurately but with a bigger performance hit people don't like it.
Of course if it was an AMD tech then it would be the best thing ever.
I wonder if Nvidia is making them choose which moniker to display?

Yep. Looking forward to it. Will more than likely grab a 3070 on launch and that will last me a very long time. Would grab a 3070 Ti if they were to price it like they did the 1080 Ti, but that is unlikely. Chances are they will be about 1K.Lucky it's coming soon, looks like boards partners may have Ampere silicon this year, so the 7nm launch can't be too far away.
