Let me know if you get it and it is a steam key. If it works I can always cancel my CDKeys.com order. £3 is £3 :D

I got the £7 one, Deluxe Edition ready to go!

Those don't do much for me, as I like to have the game in my steam account and don't mind supporting the devs for games I really like. But I guess can be handy in some instances :D

Damn kids, playing all night! Us adults had to go sleep and only just woke up, eh Vincent? :p:cry:

On a serious note, glad to hear you guys enjoying the game.

Will let you know if I run into any issues later on @mrk :)

I got up early and put my bins out #adulting

I'll set it to download shortly, but won't get to play it until tonight.

However my wife is out all night on a work thing so I will be able to play it for absolutely hours.

Ha. Our bins are on Fridays also. Though I got my missus to do it instead

Hmm this is highly debatable as I'm finding (as always) the mouse and KB far superior, and Digital Foundry in their demo outlook also found the same lol

Yep. I am playing with keyboard and mouse. I feel it works well for this game. But will play with my PS5 pad on my next playthrough.

My question to you is, what res are you playing the game on?

I am on Chapter 8 now, man the game is phenomenal. Hats off to Capcom and the devs for this. I have missed a lot of things though but I'll get those on the second playthrough. What pistols you guys using?

Halfway through chapter 5. I got the R9.

I'll be getting the R9 when at chapter 4, and then stacking it up, for now the default pistol upgraded.

Fully upgraded mine already. But I am getting very good use out of the crossbow which I also fully upgraded. Free ammo essentially.

You playing on Standard? the difficulty in some areas seems really high, others not so much. I won't spoil it as you're not as far as me but damn, I died 13 times at one point lol.

Yep, standard. Only died once or twice. Silly death, got cought and kept smashing D instead of F on the keyboard :o

I'm playing on standard just using the normal handgun, but an optional boss side quest used up almost all my ammo. I've been backtracking for treasure and killing everything.

Game almost feels open world at times, a lot more than the original, but turns out that sub boss was just before a certain defend the area section where you really need some ammo.

I had 10 hangun bullets, about 5 rifle bullets and two grenades, just barely made it on standard and thought I might even have to restart for running out of ammo for first time since Code Veronica.

Had a character assure it would be safer upstairs, oh, you mean the upstairs I've been running up and down the past 5 mins that currently has 3 las plagas whipping their heads about. Still a great sequence, but that sub boss damn near cleared me out of all my ammo.

Great game, but definitely harder on the ammo than the original, mostly due to side quests.

Edit instead of double post:

Forgot to mention some points about the handguns, apparently only Leon's normal handgun and the DLC gun have the fully upgraded 5x crit on headshots, Punisher has the hit enemies 2 in a row gimmick from the original game, but crucially the Red 9 has been nerfed as it no longer can be used with the red dot site, making the ones that can use it like normal handgun have some extra benefits they didn't used to in the prior version of the game. About time as the Red 9 was overpowered compared to others except maybe the standard handgun with the full crit upgrade bonus.

I have plenty ammo. But I explored everywhere and on top of that I use crossbo when I can which is free ammo.

Are you playing on Assisted? Standard mode I find it gives you just enough, I seem to be running out a lot in some places.

I am on Standard. Never run out once and kill absolutely everything, even the snakes, crows etc. Just headshot and knife them.

Could be you guys playing with a controller missing a lot of your shots? I hardly miss with keyboard and mouse.

Oh and pro tip. Cross bow also helps with not scaring other crows away. So you can kill more than one each time you see them. With a gun shot you would be lucky to kill two as it sets them off.

Anyone had any crashes?

Only happened twice in 13 hours, but twice too many IMO.

I have had it twice even with RT off. Don't think it is a VRAM thing as many now even with a 4090 like yourself are reporting it. I am sure they will have a patch out soon enough. Luckily the game auto saves.

Though I do play it at 5160x2160 as it looks much better than playing it at 3440x1440.

Don't get how @mrk can play it at 3440x1440 as it looks relatively poor at that res imo.

Gonna have to examplify poor at 3440x1440 there I'm afraid, to my eyes it's perfectly sharp and rich in graphical quality at that res! As the screenshots have shown!

I said relatively poor, there's a difference ;)

I am playing with FSR and it seems quite a bit better downscaling from the higher resolution. You don't have to take my word for it though, you have the exact same hardware, try it yourself :)

FSR is visibly softer in image, so that makes sense that with FSR enabled you were seeing a poorer image construction, because FSR is poor compared to DLSS, even with DLAA/DLDSR etc being used. I do not use FSR in anything, inc this game, the image quality is not on par with native TAA/FXAA+TAA. Don't need FSR when you are getting 100fps anyway though :p

Still won't look as good as FSR downscaled from 5160x2160 ;)
