There was a news report the other day on lots of Argos stores still being open, as they're often inside Sainsbury's stores.
I was really hoping mine would be today, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Yes same here, mine was meant to ship by today, I guess it is still today so I'll wait and see.

Just got email from Oculus...thats mine dispatched...with yodel......
signed up and ready to go with software...
space on hard drive cleared for games...going to start downloading them now....
space in living room cleared so i dont destroy new tv or monitor...
im worse than a wean.....

When exactly did you order?
Luckily I couldn't order one. Found out the specs are too high.
Thought an i5 7600k and a rtx 2070 would have been ok but the i5 would be a serious bottle neck for the 2070.
Was looking forward to vr but now knocked the idea on the head

You'd be perfectly fine on that. Bottleneck, sure, but a good experience still.
I wanted it mainly for racing sims.. Do you think it would be OK still for that?
Also looked at the amd rx5700, would any recommend this instead of a rtx 2070
What GPU do you have now?
A friend of mine runs VR on a similar CPU to yours with a 1060 pretty nicely.

Currently have a GTX 1060 6gb
I was looking on the net and basically it was saying that the 1060 can only do very low settings in games??.
Do you know how your friends run?
Ive just been reading some benchmarks and i think a rtx 2070 super with run fine with my i5 7600k, slight bottleneck but still decent fps.
Before i hit the buy button on the rtx 2070 what do you think?

Yes you would certainly need to knock the settings down, I've tried his rig and it was far from unplayable though.

The Oculus Asyncronous Timewarp and Spacewarp do a really good job of interpolating frames though on lower end hardware.
Ah nice! I certainly wouldn't advise against a 1060 for VR though, it seemed to do the job well enough.
