Why do some drivers leave their brains at home.

10 of us out this morning when a muppet decides to turn left cutting across the middle of us.

That was me sorry. ;)

I jest.

Weather was terrible this morning, went out for a walk about 10, saw someone waiting for their mates to ride with, got wet, not really got much better all day. Lots of people out riding in the wet/damp, few ladies too! I'm going to hit the trainer instead.

Hmm. I'm a bit disappointed with this..

20 miles in the wet and I come back to this and a Moon Nebula Rear that has gone haywire and keeps switching between modes itself (waterproof seal still in place).

Not uncommon sadly :/ The cranks I mean.

Got out for a little over 40 easy miles myself. Then tried to go for a run afterwards which...didn't go well :p

Your heels rub the crank with shoe covers?

To be expected with cranks, id say 50% of used ones show some shoe rub on them.

what do you lot do with your old bolts, stems, reflectors, brake bloks etc etc

just got all mine is a "really Useful Box" at the moment, but thinking about changing it , need some ideas

2017 good start.
305 miles for the week.

Got asked at a cafe today on the Loch Ness etape route if that's what we were training for. I think she wished she hadn't asked :p

It's very sudden though. I think they do rub just a little but this looked fine on Friday then suddenly like this. My mountain bike crank is worn like this too.

I'm not sure if it was as a result of rub or a muc-off sponge (potentially with a bit of grit caught up!) I used after the ride.

Perhaps I'll just get a chainset instead of upgrading the chainrings to go 52/36.

yep I noticed it's not much different!

Inner chainring £20 or so, outer £90 or so! Full crankset £140-150. Though not great if I just do the same thing again :D

I scatter it around the garage never to be seen again :p

Urgh. Headed out hoping to do a moderately climby single speed ride. I'd done 6 miles and got out of town and hit dense fog. The drivers were too busy gargling balls to drive properly so I thought it best to abandon and head home rather than risk death. So I ended up with just a fairly dull 16 miles. Meh.

Good choice IMHO. Last time I got caught out by fog a car went to pass and hadn't seen the car coming the other way... with no lights on. That was enough for me to file that ride under "**** this" and take the quickest route home.

Had a second puncture in 3 rides on the winter bike. I'm hoping that I missed something in the tyre when I repaired it the last time (it was 1'C and drizzly so it wouldn't surprise me!) otherwise I'll be binning the cross tyres that it came with and fit something with more puncture resistance.

Need to come up with some new routes too. My super quiet lanes that are bliss in the summer are thick with mud and riding with a crunchy drivetrain and having to clean the bike down fully after each ride is getting on my wick now!
