Rome 2 : Total War

Got to admit, I wouldn't mind a lot of faction packs in Rome II. I felt the Ikko Ikki and Ottomo clan packs for Shogun II were really good value - they'd put enough work in to make them feel unique and the factions came with a good number of unique units and gameplay elements. For £3, not bad at all.

I know some would rather they just bundled the factions in to the game to start with, but lately that has meant factions not getting the attention they deserve. The starting factions in Shogun II were very bland, a problem that (to differing extents) goes all the way back to Medieval II. I'd rather see 8 bold, distinct factions for my £30, with more coming later for £3-£4 a pop.

Empire Total War Collection on STEAM for £4.99...eek!!! - That's inc. all DLC.

But i'm on a games buying embargo!!!!

I don't think I can turn this down. I have been a good boy for so long, and it's an investment...also Trine collection is on for £5.99, always wanted to give it a go.

Not bad for £11. Not even 3 pints.

Quick Q. - I assume the DLC etc won't affect my ability to Dath Mod it?

Sale has 3 hours to run.

On the subject of dlc's I think it was harder to justify them in shogun 2 because the unit roster was quite sparse because your dealing with the same culture. Don't think I'll mind as much this time with rome 2 because of they can offer more variety between the factions/cultures

If you missed the steam offer check out GMG they have great total war sale on atm it registers on steam Just brought Shogun 2 collection for £8.

20% off code : GMG20-FDSCL-AQQXD

Yeah they might do that, quite a lot of work for them to create each area in 4 different and distinct seasons though
