Rome 2 : Total War

Absolutely loved the first one of this, and the other Total War games in the series too for that matter. Can't wait until I get this, the videos of it look great.
 
£29.99 pre-order on Steam now comes with Hellenic Armour for TF2's Pyro, and Egyptian Cheetah Armour for the Scout, with "more to come".

Wont let me pre-order, always get to the processing and then get a 500 whoops error. Got it for same price at amazon after GmG support told me its my browser even though I tried all of them... even safari.

A 7950 is a lot of card for £200 ish. So is the 7850 for around £150. The new NV 760 looks a good bet too. I'm looking at something new for Rome 2. The card in my sig has been fantastic, and easily the best i've had, good performance, cool and quiet.

Depends what your budget is, it's probable a new gen of AMD cards will be out soon after Rome as they're apparently going to ship with BF4 which is November release IIRC.

Well, you've def got enough CPU.

Will I be able to run Rome TW2 with this spec
Intel core 2 duo processor E7400
1000GB S-ATA Hard drive
4Gb Dual channel SDRAM With 667 MHz 64 Bit
Nvidia GeForce GT 140 Directx 10.....

I can run Shogun 2 OK on medium settings, need to know if I need an upgrade or not

Any help appreciated

Well, although they're saying they're trying to keep the minimum specs the same as Shogun 2, I'm sure it'll still be more demanding overall. So you may be able to run on Low settings, but we won't really know until closer to the time. Perhaps consider picking up a cheap used quad core?

So itis the processor more than the graphics card that will give me an improvement?
I shall get a price from my PC man, will it have any adverse effect on any games I have installed?

I just bought my self a new PC with an i5 3470 quad core cpu hopefully this will help the gameplay flow smoothley. Of course its going to be parred with an AMD7750 1gb gddr5 gfx card. With 6gb ram I hope this will be enough to run the game nice and fast even when my armies grow and my empire expands.

I would get a better GPU.
