Bitter, If I cared my frustration would be at Rooney not Manu. Most Evertonians I know would be happy to see him in pain. I don't harbour any grudges against either, I was angry for a week and moved on. I understood why he did it and understand again.
By poor man management I mean this fall out was supposed to have started in the dressing room with Fergie getting in his face and rooney giving it right back to him ten fold. That's if the rumours are to be believed and why not everyone else is happy to believe any rumour as long as it paints rooney negatively.
You don't need to be Einstein to understand getting in Rooneys face like that in the dressing room would not work in the same way it would Beckhams. Rooney would be more likely to break his nose because he can't control his temper as well as a giggs and is unlikely to back down.
Poor man management, Fergie knows one way. Shout and threaten. Which works with kids that won't give it back but not with someone like Rooney.

I dislike Man Utd and its setup but I respect whats its won and its history same as Liverpool but no team can dominate, season after season.
It would be a shame if Utd ended up where Liverpool are next season![]()
Nick the problem you have is that you think Real Football works like Computer football, put the highest bid in, offer to pay the highest wages etc, book them and they will come.
You keep citing that we are wrong to buy young talent yet if I am not mistaken ( and I am sure this will pee off a lot of opposing fans) but Ronaldo a few years ago was absolutely world class. Yes there were the Messi's Gerrards, Lampards, Torress etc but Ronaldo was world class and head and shoulders above his peers. Amazing that such young talent was bought before he reached such heights and we didn't have to pay a kings ransom for such potential.
It goes without saying that no Utd fan worth his salt wants the amount of debt the club is saddled with. Especially when you consider that some if not all the money could be reinvested into the club.
We all want the cream of the crop and we all want the best talent on display. What I want is the best team in England over 11 mercenaries wearing a red shirt any day of the week. Give me 11 Hungry young lads desperate for success willing to bust a gut for the club and his team mates and the fans. more importantly give me a player who knows his value, knows he is world class and is willing to stick around and fight to make the team better. What we want as fans and what players want is fastly becoming two worlds apart.
While Rooney was pondering the fall-out from several hours of high-level talks at Old Trafford, a 40-strong group of United supporters, many wearing balaclavas and hooded tops, had travelled to his home in Prestbury, Cheshire to warn him off any move to Manchester City. Witnesses reported a gathering outside his house, with a banner reading "If you join City you're dead".
no there is nothing wrong with signing some young players.. but when the only players you sign are young players and are shipping out your top players who have matured into being consistently good, you end up with a squad that is in constant state of turmoil as the new young inconsistent players bed in and the ones who ahve bedded in are leaving..
theres nothing wrong with scouting for younger players we have a sucessful history of it. but we also have a history of buying the best in england or the best around too..
i mean obertan? whats all that about then? park? just buy 1 good concrete winger a player thats going to weigh in with some serious poundage like malouda.
okay, robben.
they are good players sure it might take a season or so to settle. but that does give you a good comparison that we buy; bebe, obertan, tosic, lejic...
its not like we just signed David Silva is it? yet we could really do with him.
