Here is nvidia feeling like they messed up. Nvidia shareholders must be so disappointed in nvidia's mistakes. People here live on a different world, they are so anti-nvidia.

It is one thing to be disappointed in prices (I'd like cheaper prices as well), but its another to be laughing at nvidia, who won't care.

So we should all just shut up and watch them slowly push PC gaming towards the rich bods? I went from 3DFX to RivaTNT. I didn't have loads of money at that age but still bought. I'm mid 40s now and can buy any card nVidia make without a care in the world. I'm still sat here on my RRP 3070FE though.

Suspect Nvidia's having a bit of a share price bubble at the moment off GPT and their H100 cards going for £40k or whatever. I think like the bitcoin bubble, people think it's going to go on like this forever until it doesn't.

Exactly this is another tech bubble that will soon enough go pop as they always do. Sorry this whole AI/machine learning thing is still not ready and what we are seeing is well just hype in a technology that will not be ready in a state that makes it usable as something normal for decades to come.

The amount of power/energy and silicon required for what they are pretending to make is not available right now. It's nothing more than good enough to do some science based studies that would take many man hours/years to do and can do it automatically to hopefully get to the answer(s) required. This is my personal thoughts on it and many companies will get dragged into this and spend more than they can really afford and well it will backfire on them. Time will tell... smells like 3D TV (a technology we all know as an example) to me this sort of tech where it comes and goes every few years with some new hype and fails every time because the technology is not really there or truly ready and won't be for a good few decades to what people really expect as 3D TV, same with virtual reality etc etc. HYPE BUBBLES... all of it..

Also with silicon at its limit now too, we need new types of chips to do what they are dreaming about and data centres as they are now can't carry on as it is for the dreams they have.

Worth a watch..

Lol you really think these guys watch/read/process any rebuttals?

To continue though, look at AMD for example acquiring xilinx, most of these specific techs perform better on different ASIC, SoC, FPGA not a gpu. If anything these companies are lucky the GPU has plugged a gap for so long at the expense of the PC gamer. As you highlight its only a matter of time till the products separate back into their niche markets.
