Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

I've been running Utaka's PA nightly build of JB 4.1.1 for a while and its great.

I've had almost no problems (the occasional reboot etc) but its rapid and looks so much better :)

I've been running Paranoid Android JB (by Imilka) and it's buggy as hell, I don't recommend it! :p

You JB ROM folk, what radio are you using?

PA nightly has been great for me, As with Stoom I've found it fast and stable. looks great too in phone mode with some dpi tweaks. Battery life is also good (on 55% currently after 24 hours)

easily the best rom I've tried.

Would mind posting a screenshot of your about phone settings page? I'm getting annoyed with the frequent signal drop outs and other bugs but don't want to migrate away from PA

How smooth/fast is Paranoid Android Jelly Bean? Tried it a few weeks ago and was really laggy, worse than Gingerbread even!

Whats thd policy on discussing old game systems emulation on the forum?
Playing through an old favourite and would like some advice on the next system/game.

In the computer/console games sub-section, you can't discuss emulation, so I think that the rule would apply over here as well. Having said that, I know a mate who bought a port of Sonic the Hedgehog from the iPhone app store, so I guess it is legal to play old classics as long as it's a software port rather than an emulation of the console hardware.

Could a couple of you lowish on battery tell me what your screen on time is?

My screen off battery life seems great and I recently bought a new replacement battery but I'm only getting <90 mins screen on per charge...

That seems bad - I'm not on lowish battery but the other night I couldn't sleep so lay in bed and watched an hour long show on iplayer then a ~50 minute episode of a tv series on netflix and battery went from something like 86% (not entirely sure but about that) to 67% (definitely 67% as I was interested in how much it had dropped after all that).

If you've recently changed the battery tho it will probably take about 2 weeks before your getting the best performance/proper calibration from it - out the box I was barely getting a days use out of mine now months later it does 2 days easy with 25-30% battery left. Also if its a cheap replacement it may not be upto the on paper specs.

Official Jelly Bean 4.1 UPDATE should be rolling out now.

Anyone got theirs yet? Will check the Mrs' one tonight after work.

I haven't had an update for years. It says server can't connect and when I try through Kies it says my firmware is the latest version which can't be right.

PDA:LRK / PHONE:LRK / CSC:LP5

Is there a trick to upgrading or what ?
