Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

One of my favourite things about the screen is that black is black. If you're playing a 720p video (on an 800p screen) you don't see the letterbox because it matches the bezel. You'd lose that with a white case...

Yes you can use it for all of those. I find it has to be held fairly upright and I can't be bothered getting it out. But you can use it for everything. My kids love the paint application and I'm often losing the Note to them to draw on :)
 
These still worth buying with s3 in a few months? Decided not to wait on contract ending as don't want to be stuck on another so rather buy phone n stick current sim in. Just wishing I had got it in first place really instead of waiting.

S3 rumoured to have 3d which doesn't appeal to me at all. But if screen n power are going to be much better...anyone heard anything of a note revision?

The Note and the S3 aren't going to be much alike.

This is a large, 5.3" device which is a fairly unique in a size sense, the S3 will be the natural upgrade from the S2, I'm fairly certain it won't have a 3D screen either, I don't know where you heard that.

The S3 will be better than this in a hardware sense - no doubt, but it won't have the big screen.

They could make a Note 2 with the S3 hardware and the big screen again, that's possible.

Just googled the s3 all the diff sites are saying it is all i based it off. Well heard s3 will have the 4.6 or 4.9 screen so this isnt much bigger. Kinda dont wanna wait though lol. Seen this for 411 quid.

The S3 is the Samsung flagship device and is aimed at as many people as possible, the Note is absolutely huge and most people wouldn't even begin to consider it.

I have a Galaxy Nexus and 4.7" is the absolute maximum I would want and I actually like big-screened phones.

I think 4.3" will be settled on for the S3, but we'll see.
 
Okay i was deliberating between this and nexus back in nov, then i decided to wait it out til my contract ended in may..but sick of waiting and really just want to get this phone now.

So looking to buy it sim free but have a question hoping somebody can answer. If i buy this from the rainforest in germany, it says 411 or so at the moment. But its listed as a blue, and when i look at the images it does indeed seem to be blue? I was previously under the impression that the blue one was actually just black to look at. I want a black note not a blue one so can anybody clarify this?

Also anyone seen this cheaper anywhere else, maybe in the uk so could get it within this week? Cheapest i found was 485 in the uk..
