My mate produced one of these in the pub yesterday. First time I've seen one. Seriously impressive bit of kit. First time I've had major phone envy in a long while.
Good deal on at the moment- 300 mins, unlimited texta, 500mb data plus bt wifi and 20 picture messages for £27/month, 2 year contract, free habdset http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/Samsung/Samsung-Galaxy-Note/O2/O2-300-Bonus-(24mths)-Internet-All-Rounder/12513022
FREE £120 multi-media package, download movies and music via Samsung Hub
when it says wifi, does that mean wifi spots around the country?
Thinking of getting a note as my first proper modern phone (sagem x2 getting old after nearly 8 years )
Tbh i don't really use my phone for phone calls mostly just txts, and want one for internet movies and games. How much internet use do you get for 500mb in a month?
so what's a good plan for lots of data/internet and txts not too arsed about phone calls would probbaly never even use 30 minutes in a month let alone 300
what's that then?
Yes, BT wifi hotspots.
It's fine for general internet use, however, if you are doing any sort of heavy streaming like internet radio and especially internet video, it will chew through it like there's no tomorrow.
Got a Sony Liveview coming soon (they're on offer for £15 if you look around) figured it's worth a play with at that price.
interesting £120 credit on there sounds a bit too good to be true, is it because there's bugger all on there or just very limited to what you can spend it on.
how common are they? when on wifi, I'd be getting unlimited (or close to) internet right?
I've heard the note gets very poor wifi reception though, people noticed this?
hmm, how many page refreshes of ocuk is it?
guessing i could fill a 32gb microSD card with movies and use that more though, also the being able to plug a usb stick in via a cable sounds like a good way for cheap storage, does it work well or is it crap?
Well it does seem ideal.
So having never owned a contract phone before, buy off that site they send me the phone + sim, take £36 pound a month from me and no hidden costs or things I'm missing?
also it says 3 months free insurance after that's up guessing it's a very good idea on getting more, how much does that typically cost?
So just to be clear i can watch youtube and lets say "those" sites that stream Tv shows in flash etc every day of the month while out and about and wont run out of internet?
Right, well thanks for the brilliant help robbo.
This seems ideal for me, going to order one
So this will be the first phone i've owned that can actually do pictures let alone anything else
Guess the next questions are, spec me a good solid case (very solid, I'm clumsy ) and an excellent screen protector (I'll be taking phone to work and my pockets end up full of crap including metal swarf and filings)
