Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

I guess with the s3 just round the corner and its rumoured 4.6 inch screen the note isn't looking as attractive to buyers - I'm blowing hot and cold on buying one or waiting for the s3...

At this moment, there is nothing about the One X and nothing relating to the rumours about the S3 that have even slightly tempted me away from the Note, and thats rare since I normally buy a gadget and get bored of it within a few weeks. I've had the Note for ~5 months, it's the best phone I've ever owned by a mile. I just hope they will hurry up with ICS.

is there a line out through the USB at all? looks like its possible as the dock has one but haven't seen a cable version.

Its possible to do audio out via MHL adapter but not sure if an audio only adaptor exists or if you'd have to "hack" the HDMI adaptor (or use the dock) unfortunatly you can't use it as a USB port at the same time as using it for MHL tho.

Been thinking about ditching my Playbook and Bold 9900 to go back to Android and the Note certainly looks like it would fit the bill!

Look I'll be honest with you the Note, with a little help from my tv, has turned me into something very similar to a f f fanboy, lol, no it really is a great phone but you need unlimited data.

I just about get by with 1GB data but it's hard, especially when you have all the freeview channels, sky sports, sky movies and espn etc. I've never really felt the need to get unlimited data but it is something I could happily abuse on the Note.

Indeed 1GB data is useable but its partly due to the poorish quality of data networks overall - if I always had a highspeed signal and good network throughput I'd probably use more like 5GB a month.

Last night, almost immediately after using my Note and putting it into standby, I pressed the on button as I needed to do something else with the phone (as you do). It didn't respond at all, no matter what button I held/pressed. It woke up again after removing and reseating the battery, and has been fine since. Ironically this happened just after I'd looked at the up time counter to see whether the phone had switched off since I got it last Monday.

I hope it doesn't make a habit of it, as the last thing I need is my alarm not going off in the morning!

Anyone else had this?

Mine did that once, quite a worry at the time it was about a month ago and hasn't done it since so I'm putting it down as a one off, possibly exacerbated by my multiple button presses. I must get my insurance sorted out apparently my bank does it for £1.90 a mnth less than a quarter of what my network insurer charges!

Had that happen once about a week after getting it - I'd been doing a lot of software updates and just rooted it earlier so I put it down to that - its not done it since so far.

Personally I have alarms set on 2 different devices as I don't really trust any one device to work reliably 100% of the time these days heh.

No they don't, I checked this years prices and it's either free as part of a current account fee or about the same as my network, either way gotta get it done.

Wow I hope you have unlimited data, I wouldn't be able to relax with my device if I didn't have unltd data.

I only have 500mb and use 3g watchdog to cut off my connection when i reach ~95% of that.

Would totally abuse an unlimited plan if i had one though, and probably will do when the Olympics come around.

I think I want one of these to replace my ageing Desire HD. I'm still researching it but I think I'm almost sold on it. I think it might dumb down my want/need for a 7" tablet. I can also see it being amazing for work.

For the first time I'll be wanting to buy the handset outright, SIM only. Amazon.de is now only £37.10 cheaper than the UK price.. I'm not sure if it's worth it?

is anyone having a problem with thier s-pen? It seems that on the middle of the right hand side of the screen it doesnt recognise it??

I tried it on S Memo and its the same, works fine everywhere but on a patch about 2cm x 2cm (although my finger works fine in that area to dram lines etc)??

It also seems to be a darker line on the Left and gets lighter (with same pressure) over to the right?/

Anyone any ideas?
