Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Last thought on the Note2 Speculation train.
Really would love 1920x1080 Or 1920x1200 at 5.8"
But those resolutions are a year or two away in the mobile world..

An I know at 5.8" it would be almost too big for mobile use...
But some people make only 20minutes of calls a month. ;)
An have headphones with Mic..

I'd seriously consider the Note 2 on release.
But too speculate on specs...

The Note, almost completely copys the Galazy S2 Specs.
So it's safe to assume the Note 2 will copy the S3 specification.

I'd love to see a 5.7" Super +AMOLED (1600x1200)
1.6Ghz Quad Core
2GB Ram
32Gb Flash + SD Slot.

I'm not so sure, the sgs3 uses a9 quad as that's the best quad available atm, whereas by oct/nov quad a15 should be available and isfits in with samsung's soc roadmap. That plus a non-pentile screen, hopefully with a resolution bump would be great. Let's just hope they don't copy the cheap-looking build of the sgs3.:/

I really dont know why samsung are incapable of making top-tier phones with quality construction. I mean, if the j part with aluminium it wouldnt add much weight but would make it so much more classy..

Well... finally heard something from o2 today about mine getting fixed. Apparently Samsung phoned me, but I received no missed call on the day the supposedly phoned me.

Anyway, after waiting 2 weeks the girl explained to me whats happening. Either they want me to pay £45 to fix it or they can return it straight to me. Now its still in warranty so I was curious to know why they wanted £45!

What the o2 rep failed to tell me/get me to do was to remove my screenlock! I would have presumed samsung just would have reset the phone anyway when they received it (happened before with my old phone)

So its now on its way back to me, for me to remove the lock then its going straight back to o2! Not samsungs fault, just really annoyed now as I am 2 weeks without it now and missing it terribly :(

A GT-N8010 benchmark popped up on nenamark. Same fps as the SGS3 but with the Notes extra res (software buttons were active though)

Probably just a quad core note with no other changes bar camera and software.

Pretty sure the GT-N8010 has been said to have a 10 inch screen so wont be the Note II.

Cheers,

yep the N8010 is the tab:

Just as a matter of interest does anyone know how much Samsung charge wholesale for a Galaxy Note when you buy a thousand or for example how much say 3 or CPW pay per unit?

I wonder how much they've made for their 5 million and rising sales.

I've had mine for a week now and it's incredible!

It's no replacement for a tablet though as some suggest.

Guess it depends on your useage for a tablet i.e. looking at/showing off photos would be better on a ~10" screen. For most of the stuff I would do on a tablet I can do perfectly fine on the Note and the odd thing thats a little trickier to do on the smaller screen is made up for by the better portability.

When I'm in and the kids aren't on the 7.7s I prefer too use one of them, when I'm out I much prefer the Note, so I'm not planning on buying a tab for myself unless I get a different phone.

As a compromise item it does both jobs very well, comics, the web, photo's and vids are excellent on the Note but not as good as the 7.7.

God, the Note manages to make even the S3 look tiny! :p

I know!! My tiny gf is finally getting fed up with her Apollo, sooo I'm gona try and persuade her to buy it off me, it'll look truly ridiculous then, I'll sweeten the deal by offering her a bt headset so she doesn't have to make hand to head calls :D

Soon. :D

Samsung have finished working on the OS for the Galaxy Note - Canadian Galaxy Note owners were the first to receive the OTA update last week. I'm guessing if you own an unbranded/SIM free phone you'll be receiving the update quicker.

Mine came from o2 but came unlocked I have a GiffGaff sim in will this have any effect on the upgrade, will I have to keep checking Samsung's site or will I get automatically informed by the phone, thanks!
