With that bug copy all your stuff off the mem card , unmount - format - remount. then if I were you install auto mount from app brain and according to the internet geeks hold work golden for a good while :)

Hope this helps

not sure what to suggest , maybe try different google searches , not much help I know , but that's how I worked out how to solve my problem

There is a thread over at xda about it seems lots are getting the same thing since flashing 2.2.

hey guys, had my SGS for a couple of days now, at home ive been able to access the android market no problem over wi-fi, but today im trying to access it at work via 3G and i can see the main market window but when i search for an app i get a "network error - retry, cancel...etc.

i can browse the net no problem, i also have the G symbol at the top in like a blue box....i take it thats the 3G symbol ?

has any else had this ?

Hi all,

I've had a good search through this thread, although I've obviously not been able to read it all.

I'd like to buy the Samsung Galaxy S and use it with my existing contract on three.

From what I can see some of you have got this phone working on three but have had problems with setting up MMS and internet browsing. Does this phone work on three at the moment? Is it easy to set up? What will I need to do?

Also whats the best way of buying the phone, given that I want to use my existing plan, I've seen a number of you mention buying it on pay as you go on O2 I for around £300 and the phone is already unlocked? Is this deal still out there? It doesn't appear to be on their website.

Thanks for the info!!

I have only ever got that error on wifi, never on 3G/H  Try turning it off maybe?

yea tried turning it off and doesnt make a difference. i dont get the error when im at home using wi-fi. its so annoying !

the thing is tho i can still send and recieve texts so i must have signal

Yeah it works, you have to create the APN's yourself is all.

It is unlocked, but has the O2 lock screen and firmware. Its not on their website, ring your local store to see if they have any. Got mine for £319 + £10 topup.

ok i think its a problem with my APN settings for orange internet. as i can send texts (seperate APN) but cannot access market or internet over 3G yet i have the 3G or H symbol at the top.

ive search for the settings i should have and mine match but still not working ??? this is annoying man ! please help.

*EDIT*

Also when i have the 3G or H symbol i have two arrows underneath one up one down arrow and its only the up arrow that goes green now and then, so im sending data but not recieving ?

Hi, thanks for the reply, is this straight forward? I assume it involves entering a server name and user name and password? Something like that? Is this information readily available?

So the phone itself is unlocked and not branded, but the screen saver is branded? Can this be changed? How does the o2 firmware differ from others? Will it be limiting in any way?

Thanks again

Anyone got the S on an O2 contract? I should be able to pick it up as a free upgrade at £15pcm in the next week or so. Does it come heavily O2 branded or pretty much vanilla?

I assume you have a three mobile if you already have the contract. Just copy the settings. The main service is just the server address, MMS is a bit more info. Two APN's to create.

The phone is not branded, just uses their firmware (AD is the code). I can't see any limitations. Just the lock screen which is easily changed with a wallpaper.
