I have not had my NC10 for long and I'm thinking about installing vista onto it. Would you say its worth the hassle, does it run ok on these notebooks? Is it going to be a problem finding the drivers etc to get it going?
runs fine on mine, no slower than xp for netstuff which i guess a netbook is for lol
Did you have any issues with drivers etc? Or did Vista find them automatically?
installed the wlan driver from the wlan maker and no problems from there

I think we all know it comes with the discs, what isnt obvious is that fact that we dont have a CD drive...
Has anyone tried installing OSX86 onto one of these?
Only thing thats puzzling me is I dont seem to be able to turn the brightness down on the screen as the Samsung battery manger dont work. Anyone else got any suggestions for an alternative?

You will need Easy Display Manager to get your Fn buttons working. This should give you your volume/brightness functions back.
I didnt bother with Battery Manager as Vista comes with Mobility Centre for controlling power settings.
I still cant adjust my brightness.![]()
