Samsung NC10

Has there been any issues with the new BIOS update. The Mrs is back with our NC10 and just wanted to make sure the update was ok before going ahead and installing it.

hey all,

I am running windows 7, and on resume from sleep my FN buttons are not working. IE i cant change the brightness of the screen when resuming from sleep. Any ideas?

It sometimes does this in 7, just log off and log back on making sure not to use FN button until everything has loaded up.

I just installed office 2007 and did all updates, can i do full backup of it to external hdd and install windows 7?

Hey guys i made a complete backup using the samsung app, i ordered 2GB 800mhz DDR2 SODDIM.

Now can i install windows 7 and if i dont like it i can use the restore image and it will be exactly how it was with all apps installed on XP?

And here it is running Quake Live at 1024x576 !

So it looks like it runs it ok but i think still its not 100% fluid...

I wouldnt be able to stand that, for me to play it would have to be smooth framerates 100% all the time.

(Its just me being fussy)

Well on low settings it is fluid, low settings is what hardwcore gamers tend to use anyway so the only things they see are blotches in the distance to shoot at for uber nerd-aim

When I get mine I'll try QuakeLive over a tethered bluetooth/3G connection using picmip 15 and see what it's like

Is there a recommended external optical drive? I guess they're much of a muchness? Anyone got one of these?

Not really sure how the samsung app works as I never used it but if it's like any imaging app then yes it should be ok.

Is the samsung app on bios then? so it can boot without being on HDD (if formated)

Where do i get all the drivers from for Windows 7?

I plan to install it on 1gb ram then swap it for 2GB when ram arrives.

I hated Windows 7 with the NC10!

there are not any Drivers for it yet so the NC10 will be rubbish until theres drivers for it!

Found the answer to restore, press f4 after bios.

Now need some help, I want to install 2 OS so that means i want 3 Partition on my nc10.

Say 60GB C: for Windows7 and 40GB D:for OS and rest E: for files.

What application can i use to manage boot?

Will windows 7 allow me to make partitions?

Can i have windows 7 as C: and OS as D:?

Would appreciate answers for this please
