I have set the onboard video adapter to use 256mb RAM and the effect is definitely noticeable. I'd only recommend this with 2Gb RAM installed, however.
2Gb doesn't make the system feel any more immediately responsive, but when running multiple apps there is no slowdown, whereas there definitely was with 1Gb.
How did you set the onboard video adapter to use 256mb RAM??
- Press F2 at boot to enter BIOS
- Turn on CAPS LOCK
- Turn on SCROLL LOCK and NUM LOCK (fn+f11 and fn+f12)
- Turn off CAPS LOCK
- Move left and right a bit with the arrow keys
- A new tab called INTEL will appear
The graphics memory can be set on that new Intel tab. Exactly what the setting is called escapes me, but it should be fairly obvious.
Cheers, I'm in, I take it you changed the Total Graphics Memory option to MaxDVMT and then the DVMT Graphics Memory option to 216MB??
Did is worth changing any of the other values in the Intel option to makes things better or just best to leave well alone??
Cheers.
i'll try and set 256mb, i did play about with the menu yesterday night
Mounting worked for me on 7068 build, extracting and running setup.exe did not workin - kept showing the install W7 screen .
