SAMSUNG

Perhaps. I mean somebody has to have the lack of sense to buy these ginormo-phones, don't they? :D

Well, lol. I don't disagree that they are just too big for me but these days phones are more multi-media devices that also make phone calls, rather than visa versa. Given what we use these phones for ( i spend more time browsing the net than actually making phone calls and I'm sure I'm not alone there), it's not that surprising that there are people who want a phone with a big display. It's not for me, but still :)

Excellent plan, can't see any drawbacks with that one lol.

Excellent spec, big screen for playing/watching. I don't see why it matters if it fits in your shirt pocket or not.

Some people like phones that can are actually capable of fitting in our trouser pockets. I'm not wearing tactical pants (as the Americans would say) just to carry my bloody phone.

Some nice 7"-8" Tablets nowadays. Big enough for gaming, browsing but don't need to be held against your head like some Dom Jolly sketch.

Oh for sure and the Nexus 4, iPhone 5 and others all fit that remit without being stupidly large.

Still pricey for both tho. My phone is on a 15 month (18 month, 3 month early upgrade) contract with an O2 Friends and Family discount. I will pay £390 inc. my data, etc.

I will then sell the phone for what, £300??

That's £90!! A nexus is still £150+

Just to clarify this "premium brand" thing, the likes of Bang & Olufsen are premium, Samsung isn't, simple as really.

Samsung still sell far too many cheap products to be considered, as a brand, premium, yes the do have some highend products, but that's it.

Bang & Olufsen TVs are cheap parts in an expensive case.

The audio is much better then you will get in other tvs, but everything else is pretty basic.

My mates parents have one (£4000) and it looks terrible compared to my £500 tv.

Be that true or not, doesn't matter, the brand image is premium.

Some people want a large screen to play games/browse/watch videos on but shock horror can make calls also.

They can but it's a compromise. Personally I'd rather my smartphone was pocketable.

£150 isn't pricey.

Likewise, I carry my Note 2 around in my pocket all day long quite happily. Makes it a little hard to bend over now and then... although I have a feeling that's more to do with my expanding waistline :(

Samsung "Designed for Humans"

Only a company without soul would dream up such an off putting marketing campaign.

It's a bit lame, but it works. At least they don't retread old and tired ground like Apple does these days.

It might be for somebody splashing out on a smartphone too. Why are we still having this discussion? It's all about personal preference.

I personally prefer the s3, but I have a tablet. My GFs dad doesn't, so he has a note. and he loves it for games. Simples

Obviously not, as it is massive. If they cared about their looks they wouldn't buy a phone that looks like they're holding a tablet next to their heads, would they? :D

It doesn't matter if you like Apple or not the Note is simply too big. Saying so doesn't make you an Apple "fanboy".

LOL Samsung

I wasn't actually talking to you but i understand fanboys will come together to back each other up. Do you understand why it's so big? Obviously not because you think its a visual status symbol type thing. IT'S A BIG SCREEN!

Simply too big? Did you take a public opinion poll? link to results please. Funny that EVERYONE thinks it's too big but it's been selling like hotcakes. Bit of a contradiction going on there, If people didn't like it it wouldn't be selling extremely well.

I say fanboy because that is how his and your reasoning is.. Fanboyish, Oh it's too big i will look silly holding it, it's not small like my iPhone it must be crap. Let's completely bypass the functions and features because i wont look cool.

What's the last link got to do with anything i was saying? fanboy ;)
