You will see that at least one customer has now received his replacement Asus board, and mine arrived just after lunch today.

As has already been mentioned, Asus despatch the new B3 board the same day as they receive the old one, so you should only be without one for a couple of days.

They are using UPS and are shipping directly from the U.K. (Hemel Hempstead actually!) and I have found them to be more than helpful, with a tracking number supplied for both the delivery & collection, which is always good to have.

I assume you have already registered your 'faulty' board with Asus, either over the 'phone, or via. their website form which can be found at: http://asus.co.uk/sandybridge_swap/

If so, then they will contact you either by telephone or email (or possibly even both) so as to arange a day when UPS can collect the board, which could presumably be from a works address, if that is more convenient for you.

As stated above, you should receive the replacement B3 board two working day later, i.e. if your board is collected on Monday, then you should receive the replacement (again via UPS) on Wednesday.

Hope this helps!

Still haven't heard anything for Asus, i registered on 12/3/11, if they can guarantee a swap out in 2 days then i will go for it, i am in N. Ireland, (i CANNOT afford to wait longer though as i use my computer every day for my work) otherwise i will just have to keep the board i have.

Would be ideal if they collected on friday & deliveried on monday.

Does anyone know if i will be able to return it anytime within the 3 year warranty or does it have to be done within a certain time limit ?

This is what Asus themselves say: "Starting from Monday 28th March 2011 running until June 30th 2011, ASUS will have REV 3.0 B3 replacement Sandybridge motherboards available and will begin to provide the replacement motherboards for swap directly to the consumer. After June 30th 2011 standard warranty procedure through the original place of purchase will apply."

They also confirmed to me that my warranty on the replacement board starts from the day I received it from them, which is good.

Well I took the afternoon off to meet the courier for the collection of my MSI board only to find he decided to come in the morning and not the booked afternoon slot. So I got on the phone to citilink and was promised that someone would be back out this afternoon......you can see where this is going......and yes thats right no show. On the phone again to find out that the person I spoke to originally had chinned me off and done anythin, apparently MSI are going to have to rebook the collection. Sometimes I could be driven to perform severe physical violence on people.

Really not impressed and bloody grumpy.

just got my pre paid ups voucher from asus , jsut have to box it up and ring ups for collection :) no mention of turnaround time or if they want the main board only or ev thing so there only getting the mobo :)

There is another thread specifically about Asus board replacements, which you might find of interest, and can be found at: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=18916229

It is only the mobo itself which they want returned anyway! :)

I got my letter and UPS sticker from Asus on Saturday 16th and it was unclear if they wanted just the mobo or everything (I originally phoned Asus to register my mobo for replacement).

I read through a few topics on OCUK and I will send back the mobo in the antistatic bag for protection with the original box. I don't have another box to put the box in for added security and that'll have to do.

Will phone UPS on Monday morning and will post here when I get B3 Rev. in return.

Thank`s was not sure what to do but i may as well send off the whole lot as i see no need for the spare part`s and the only thing`s i use in the motherboard package are the io shield and sli bridge.

I received my UPS self adhesive return label yesterday and have packaged the motherboard up in original box with all accessories. UPS are coming to collect today.

gah i got the letter and ups label rang up and arranged collection, i left the parcel at work for the collection , while i was out they picked it up and now i have no receipt or contact info whatsoever , even the letter has nothing on it.
