Morning Halz - long time no see, how's it going?
I knew you were are alive from the ridiculously high RAC you were churning out before the outage..

Looks like installing new fans has helped with the temps - the 480 at the top of the case has gone from averaging 95C to 77C :D

Its amazing how going from 1/5 working fans to 3/5 working can improve temps, cant wait to see what I get from all 5 working fans!

Well, the coolant is flowing - oh boy!! :cool:

Fitted me waterblock this morning, re-charged the coolant levels and everything looks fine and dandy. Case temps are right down, GPU temps are lower than with the accelero extreme coolers, CPU is cooler, motherboard is cooler, north bridge is cooler - damn the list goes on! I shall have a slight breather from wc for a week or so, before installing the second loop. At this rate, I'll be able to use my case as a 'fridge!!!!

Uploaded all me work, and have even started to get some new stuff :D

Will have a celebration 4 pack of Stella this evening methinks!!! :D:D:D

Fingers crossed guys, for the first time in a while seti seems to be holding under the strain!. Nice to see everyones pc woes seem to be under control, Mr Edges temps are down, Mr Area 51's now a certified watercooler and Mr Marine has not had a case of pc rage in a while!! My setup seems to be ticking along nicely, good to see Mr Halz back and welcome to Mason our latest team member.

I have not felt this positive about things for a while, all we need now is for Mr Biffa to let weebeastie come out to play :D

Welcome to Mason and well done on the tiffy/watercooling/stella to Area 51..

Should be interesting to see how everything pans out on Sun once the stats have settled down - I still have 3 days of backup projects to crunch through before I can get everything back on seti, but at least the servers are holding up...

Well I must be doing something right, I've also had the Gpu users group recruitment PM. They must be getting desperate ;)

I don't seem to be downloading much new work at the moment but I did manage to flush some 1800+ finished WUs up this morning. Roll on back to normality.
 
Tell me about it, should have it sorted in next few weeks everything else is ok. Work is good going to relax next few months no more hardware till after christmas then i might consider moving over Preston way. It would be a house share but would have a 2 car garage for my own use, i could turn into a nice little crunching farm :)
 
Definitely will, just breaking in Server 2008 on it and trying to stabilise folding performance.

Thats good to hear, im pleased for you.

Ive been in hiding, ive caught the evil gpu upgrade bug and since i have a motherboard that doesnt do crossfire, my eyes kept wandering to your 480's for sale in the MM! and i really shouldnt spend that money at the moment. :)

You might have to wait a while, I downloaded about 20 this morning, crunched through them, and Im now stuck trying get more - the download servers are hammered at the moment, and with the extended outage this week, I think the backlog will take days to clear as a lot of caches have run dry..

Doesn't look like there is that much to go either

I've temporarily stopped crunching SETI until the servers recover, so for the moment I've fired up the ol' Einstein and QMC jalopies.

I'm never far away, in an effort to be on here more often I have just taken delivery of an Android phone so basically I have the forum in my pocket :D
My RAC would have been higher if it wasnt for my Milkyway@home position being under attack :rolleyes:
