City link are slightly better.

Once city link left a orange mobile phone nearly a mile from my house with a random person.

Amtrack never tend to deliver next day.

DHL is the best.

Voted citylink - Amtrak so far without fail have pulled the old 'oh we carded you because you were out' trick and I've had to drive to the depot.

Citylink - no problems at all yet.

Oh - I should also say, thanks OcUK for asking - shows you are trying to keep an eye on customer service.

This is a bit of a tough one as I've not really had much experiance with Amtrak so don't know what they are like but from my experience with City Link their other name suits them to a T.

95% of deliveries to through City Link were not delivered and I had to and pick up them up form the depot. It's about a 20-25 min drive to the local depot and the amount of times they claim no-one was in is crazy.

EDIT: After looking at where the Amtrak depots are in relation to work and home I'm going to say go for City Link.

UPS will not deal with us on a competitive basis because of the volume of home deliveries.

There is a cost difference between both companies in the poll, but it is meaningless without a customer satisfaction rating.

I've never had any problems with either courier :)

But I'd choose Amtrack because they always get here sooner than CityLink. And CityLink have used huge envelopes for a simple stick of RAM, which is odd.

Both terrible round here - only ever try to deal with UPS/DHL as they're the only ones to actually leave delivery notes if there's no-one in.

Fedex are damn good as well.

Both have their good points and bad points.

Speaking for the Swansea depot of each:

Citylink have nice vans and uniformed drivers. Amtrak use battered Transits with scruffy drivers.

Citylink depot is organised and modern but it takes them a very long time to find any parcels there. Amtrak depot resembles a rubbish tip (literally) but it is small and parcels are located swiftly.

Citylink never ever ever answer the phone. Amtrak answer all the time.

Citylink drivers are very casual in that they will leave parcels with neighbours and so on. Amtrak drivers will not.

Citylink depot differs from the drivers in that they will not hand over a parcel without a sliver of DNA and a retina scan. Amtrak will hand a parcel over without even seeing a calling card.

Citylink drivers drive like me. This is a bad thing. Amtrak drivers seem more restrained but I've seen them handling parcels inside the van. Ouch.

So, both have good and bad points but as the Amtrak depot stays open a lot later than Citylink I will vote for them.

People saying royal mail, royal mail is expensive for large and heavy stuff, I believe ocuk use them anyway for the lighter stuff, which is fine. Could DHL or Fedex not be an option too Spie, or are they expensive, I know that Fedex charge the company I work for about £40 to ship stuff to the US

I've never had a problem with citylink here (Camberley) but I suspect it's very location dependant. I know the reading branch managed to lose a 32" TV between the goods in and the delivery van

Well I've used Citylink twice, and AMTRACK once.

Citylink delivered both packages next day, around 9:30.

AMTRACK just seemed to be unprofessional, my mum said that even after she drived to the depot to collect the parcel, they were very rude to her.

Also, I believe that AMTRACK is a franchise, meaning that any man and his dog seems to be able to become a "depot".
