Oh, grief, I wish people would feed their cats. I get it, it's inflation, but really, the number of hungry cats in my area has risen dramatically.
Yes, there’s such a skinny cat that visits. Otherwise seems well looked after, but far too thin. I’ve started feeding her, probably not meant too, but she’s (genuinely) crying for food.

Obligatory cat pictures:

They had their check up today (in their new carriers - much prefer these):

One of them will be going back for a scale and polish. Better than losing teeth and it’s covered by insurance.

Those carriers look great.
Where did you get them from?

Amazon.

Morpilot Pet Carrier Bag, Portable Cat Carrier Bag Top Opening, Removable Mat and Breathable Mesh, Foldable Cat Carrier Transport Bag for Dogs and Cats, with Shoulder Strap and Pet Bowl Gray https://amzn.eu/d/eQaidPR

We had some pets at home solid plastic carriers, but they always terrified me with the 4 plastic clips that held the bottom to the top. Especially with someone who lost their cat in a similar fashion near our vets. These seem much more secure - plus they have a comfy soft bed Velcroed to the bottom and little pouches for their vaccination cards that I always forget when I’m on my own. Plus they both fit in the footwell and passenger seat of my car. The tops also open for east cat extraction :D

I have a couple of amazon branded ones that screw shut and you load them in from the top instead. If you ever wanted to pick up a plastic one.

Ours were similar, but didn’t have the screws. Much more secure with the screws. I don’t trust 4 plastic clips alone to keep my cats safe. I’d never forgive myself.

You should have seen the cat carrier that one lady brought in, I swear I would fit in it. The nurses couldn’t lift it!

That one looks pretty good, actually. Not like the one I bought, which often falls apart.

I have one like that. It's actually a dog cage for a large dog.

There is this stray who visits my house. He needs to go to the vets, but not only would you not get him in a small carrier, he would tear it apart. I borrowed a wire cage from a dog owner... lol.

I might have mentioned him before - his name is Thomas, and he lives in a tree.

It looks like my family could be re-homing a couple of cats in the next couple of days, so i thought i would ask for any tips and tricks to make the transition as easy as possible
