Show us your kitty cats

Bella can't keep anything down :( She would only ever eat Felix DD, and now - not sure if they've changed the recipe - but she keeps throwing it back up. Without fail, every time.

She literally won't eat anything else, tho. I keep putting other stuff down, she ignores it and begs for Felix. Eats the Felix, pukes it up. Rinse and repeat.

I'm not taking her to the vet. She went there recently (earlier this year), I got a £1000 bill, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. But they could "refer me to a more qualified specialist vet". Oh, so I paid £1000 for what exactly, then? Still quite ****ed about that.

Felix has always been utter crap, even when she could keep it down. But I swear she will not eat anything else. I have no idea what they put in that junk that completely binds the cats to their will and makes them crave it. Been through the whole spectrum of everything you can buy on the internet. Will not eat any of it.

Really at my wits end.

We’ve played with our cats diets to a good result.

Our two generally like applaws but we’ve had to move Loki onto a special gastrointestinal one to reduce her upset stomachs. Half worked but now we mix a probiotic in and it’s really made a difference.

Are you giving her any dried food? Thor is sick way less often after we changed that to a smaller biscuit… he was wolfing it down and the bigger ones just filled him up too much I think!

Also, have you tried putting down just half of the food you’re currently giving her? Might be the whole ‘wolf if down too fast’ thing.

Yeah I'm feeding her tiny amounts right now, but she only has to taste it and she's throwing up almost immediately.

She's always been a pukey cat but this is something else. She just can't eat Felix anymore, one or two mouthfuls and she's puking up (and after the first 3 pukes it's mostly just bile...)

Which is a problem when your cat will only eat Felix :p They must have changed it somehow.

Oh, I am really sorry, I am going to be the doom sayer here, especially since I am probably completely wrong, but the last time I had a cat that did this, it turned out to be stomach cancer.
Also, lymph cancer can cause the same issue, it just goes on for longer. This is a common one with cats and invariably kills them around their sixth birthday (Highly predictable because it is started by a virus they catch as a kitten).
Again, apologies for being a doom sayer, but if it is then you need to find out immediately, so you can your goodbyes right now because you don't want to see what happens if you do nothing.
I do agree with the vets, they are too expensive, but a vet can pick up both sorts of cancer with a simple examination. Just don't allow them to take it further if they "feel" nothing.

Have you tried a bit of boiled chicken and plain rice? This has always worked wonders with ours when they've had dodgy tummies.

As above it could also be to do with wolfing the food down, our old man was always being sick until we switched him to pate, he had some teeth out several years ago, and seems he couldn't chew the chunks properly so just swallowed it whole and then of course it all came back up

Star, absolutely cooking herself, I could barely stroke her she was that hot ...

...and then there were 5.

Driving home from picking the other half up from the station at 11pm last night, and almost ran over a couple of kittens in the road.

Beautiful little things, really friendly, litter trained... and absolutely starving (they at 3 tins of food and then started on the biscuits), covered in fleas, and far too young to be out alone at night when the temperatures are dropping to low single figures. :(

We took them home, fed them, flea treated them, and scanned them for a chip - no joy.

Have posted on a couple of local Facebook groups in case they are lost (although anyone coming forward will have some explaining to do ), but strongly suspect they have been abandoned.

I really ******* hate people sometimes

Poor little mites, thank heavens you came along.

There are usually people around who want kitties. Especially if you offer them for free, I am sure they will soon disappear off to a nice home.

Yeah chicken and rice works wonders with ours, the same with the dogs too.
