It is definetly the best car i have ever had and i cant help but smile when i walk to it and get in. Plus i love the remote locking ( iknow thats sad but ive never had remote locking before)
The only problem is only amputees can sit behind when im driving ( 6'4 of lankyness)

Well bought this today. Pretty much mint condition, except the odd little stone chip. Really happy with it and will get me on my way ;)

Nice Fiesta.
One of the best things about it is the suprise factor! youll hammer some boy racer and then they will undertake you at double the speed limit as they are horrified they have been beaten by a Fiesta.

Shame about the lack of ability of Ford to put the stripes on correctly though.

The dealer refused to fix mine because i left it two years. Got a 3 year service for free so will be using that, but that was from Ford not the rip off dealer. Then just had my car in for repairs and needed the stripes replacing on one side and they fitted them wrong ffs!

There is no suprise factor and you wont be hammering many things a Fiesta ST. They are great cars and handle brilliantly but they are not quick - infact, they are slower than they look for a hot hatch. The only suprise factor is 'Wow, that was slow'.

I meant 'slower' boy racer cars like standard ones, ie Astra's, Corsa's Golfs etc.
Agree with the handling, nearly went into kerbs all the time with the GTi expecting it to turn as much as the ST did.

Also is very slow for a 2 litre, do love the no turbo lag though. But when i first got back into it after the golf and booted it i was like wtf something wrong with it, no where near as fast as it 'used' to be. But was fine just was used to the pace of the Golf.

Even then you're not exactly going to 'hammer' those opponents. You'll be quicker than most in standard form of course, but you've got to have considerably more than a few BHP either way to properly shame another car. And I really do mean a few BHP either way, a quick google says that a ST has only got 10BHP on top of a run of the mill 1.8 Astra for Christ sake! :p

I've seen cars with 100BHP odd differences do battle from a roll and only pull a negligible gap at half sensible speeds.

And there is the 'surprise factor' you've mentioned. It is a bright red Fiesta with stripes and a bodykit. As Fox says, the only surprise about it's performance is that it is so poor.

Doesnt weight / fuel type/ drive train play a factor as well?

Maybe hammer was the wrong word lol
I think a lot of people think because its a Fiesta its going to be like their corsa's etc and try it on.

What makes the ST so slow for a 2.0 litre? the GTi, Evo have two litre engines but are a world apart in performance from the ST, and the GTi to the Evo again. I know the ST is N/A but surely that cant be the only reason.

My e46 323CI, I got this car around 9 months ago have recently been thinking about changing to a 330ci but I might hang on to this a while longer after spending a little bit getting suspension bushes replaced and a few other little bits! It's been the longest I have owned a car and I have really enjoyed it after coming from a saxo and peugeot 306.

I'm no photo expert, but you either live on a really hilly street or... maybe you were going for a 'funky' shot....

Maybe straighten it up ala

Looks a clean and tidy clio, does the plate have any meaning to you?

Get that white window sticker off too imo :)
