67mm filter thread? Small filter, the L is 72mm, actually, 35/85/135 are all 72mm which is handy.

Yeah I was a bit confused by that too, whatever they've done they've compacted the front element to a smaller size and so the filter thread is 67mm too. Weird but at least it means slightly cheaper filters

Hmm interesting point! Everyone knows Nikkor glass has had the optical edge over L while Zeiss glass...well you know where this is going

I really like the look of it... Tempting to sell my 50 and 24 now, maybe even the 90. I like the new aesthetic but it means that the Signity doesn't look like a Signity

Comparing the Sigma to my Nikon, sharpness looks very similar with a slight nod to the Sigma, which is very impressive considering the price, and that Sigma traditionally isn't so sharp in the corners.

Unfortunately I don't own a £10 note.

No Lol, it's just a sample from the Nikon 35 to roughly compare to mrk's Sigma sample.

Tbh, part of me is tempted to get a Sigma 35 + 85, but I don't think it's a sensible/economical move.

Just ordered another D800E, as it looks like the other deal was too good to be true.
When I get a refund, I will probably look at a 24 + 50 1.4 instead.

35, 50, 85.

50 and 85 don't look like they come from the same line as the 35 because of the styling change which would irritate my fashionable OCD

Maybe they'll update the 85 and 50 and bring them into the Art line? They've changed the aesthetics of the 50 before, no reason why they couldn't do it again. That said, my 85 still wouldn't match haha
