Sky Fibre Optic

Guys, When accessing the router Via IP Address
192.168.0.1 - Does anyone else's take about 5 mins to access the page?

Also been getting some terrible speeds!!! I'm on the Fiber pro, and average connection for me is around 58mb down and 19mb up. but lately I'm lucky if I ever get 25down!

Any ideas? I've contacted them and they have say it would be the CAB, so engineer is attending.. just wondered if anyone else has had this..

I've just experienced this today, normally get around 44mb, stuck at 17mb. Not great. The upload is faster than the download

Spent all morning to Sky who basically said the line was fine!

I'm having to resort to plugging in the sky hub to sync a connection tonight.

Finally my Town is Fibre enabled.

Does the line attenuation and noise margin seem normal for 40mb ?

What speed would it to go to, if on Fibre pro or Infinity 2

BTO engineer just fixed a fault in the line, got me back up for almost full 80mb.

What was initially causing me only getting 18mb was a bloody setting in the Killer LAN, it throttled my connection! Groan.

You live and learn!

Upgraded to fibre from ADSL.

Supposed to go live today, came home internet off,

sat here waiting but don't hold much hope

Looks like another engineer balls up at the cab.

just want to make sure I got the setup right and the issue is in the line not being active.

the home phone works fine, the BB doesn't. it's a new order that I'd had about 30 days worth of trouble with.

so RJ11 DSL cable from the wall socket is plugged into Openreach modem. one ethernet cable connects LAN1 on modem to bottom port of SR101. second ethernet cable connect top ethernet port on SR101 to ethernet port on the laptop.

192.168.0.1 status summary = broadband disconnected, wifi enabled.

btw does the SR101 include fibre router? I've seen that it's got DSL router, so in order to use fibre, you must use the Openreach modem, is that correct?

Only the black SR102 has The VDSL modem built in. If you have the white SR101 then yes, you need the Openreach Modem.

What lights are on the Openreach modem?

Been having a few issues with my line lately! There Network Engineers are on the case.
I'm on the 80mb Package! and this is some of the proof!

Bare in mind that this PC is hard cabled in and no wireless devices.
And the router is syncd at 62MB and 19mb down

Different server

Short update from me, fibre installed last wednesday which was great. Felt a little sluggish so did a speedtest at the weekend which gave approx 5MB down, 1.5MB up... This was after estimated speed of 37.5mb - any ideas where to start addressing this? I guess phone sky?

Also anyone know the stock admin user/pass on the router these days? :)

Fibre Pro has been up and running for a month or so now, still running decent, don't think crosstalk is an issue yet, but I imagine it will be in a year or so. I imagine not many people know FTTC is available here yet.

The SR102 has been OK, but there are so many wireless networks here performance isn't great over 802.11, ideally need an AC wireless access point. Does the SR102 even have a 5Ghz antenna?
