TiVo still has to download the stuff you want to watch on demand?
It plays through the TiVo boxes own internet connection.
Yes, the 10Mbit one, but it still has to download them, no different to Sky.
I always thought that downloading on a Sky box was a terrible idea. It just wastes bandwidth.
So the 1,000+ movies, in both HD and SD along with the hundreds of box set episodes are a waste of time?
Why are the live games a problem? Nowtv does both catchup and live.
Any codes for existing customers Misschief ? My new GF has 3 boxes and is paying £70 a month .. for everything except sport
Tell her to phone up and cancel, if she's out of contract. She'll more than likely find a 'come back to sky for 50% off' offer next time she logs in to 'my sky'
I now have the 50% offer on my account. Pretty happy with my Openbox for now though, most of my viewing is done via Netflix and Prime.
Most of mine is netflix even though I have kodi, prime and sky. Only use sky for the HD football and a bit of live tv when choosing what to watch becomes a chore.
Yeah Sports is the only reason I had Sky really, but I tend to go to the pub now when the football is on and I can live without the F1 - it's been quite boring lately.
For what little I used it, I'm happier with the £50 in my pocket each month (BT Sport HD included in that).
And how much do you spend in the pub if you go twice or three times a month? Even at £10 a time that's your Sky Sports sub right there.
