*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Got a F&F deal on the whole package for £35 a month, really happy with that, but they wouldn't do a deal on Sky Fibre, so ended up going with Virgin 50mb line (still faster than Skys 38mb line) for £5 a month on a 12 month contract.

All my offers ran out, £76.80 per month and its just too expensive as I hardly watch much and the wife only really watched the soaps. They offered to reduce it to £40 per month but it would tie me into a new 12 month contract so I've told them to cancel it all...

Need to look at a freeview recorder and maybe move to plusnet unless they come back with an amazing contract free offer...

That's what I;ve done too. They offered 50% off and £50 credit.

edit

Spoke to them online and was offered 60% off and £70 credit

60% off on Variety bundle for 12 months and a credit of £70. Sky Fibre Half price £10 with a phone line rental £17.40 a month for 12 months.

60% off on Variety bundle would cost £12 + Multiscreen subscription £11.25 + Sky Fibre Half price £10 with a phone line rental £17.40 = £50.65 a month for 12 months.

edit:

pushed them a little further and now agreed to 60% off TV, with £100 credit. Total £50.65 valid for 12 months. And this is without entering a new contract so I can cancel at any point.

How long after cancelling did you get all that offered

60% off + £100 cashback. I'm very tempted, especially since I want the F1 next month. My only gripe is needing to get BT Sports separately which isn't cheap.

I've just taken it, went for the complete bundle. £33.45 per month + £100 credit into my account. I'll speak to BT later and see what they can do for BT Sport.

Anyone know if these discounts can be applied whilst upgrading to Sky Q?

Doubt it, at the moment upgrading to Sky Q removes any discounts from the account.

Probably will in 12 months time but I have a feeling these 50% offers etc will be killed of in 12 months time and Sky will only offer discounts on Sky Q in an effort to force people across from the current packages.

Bonus, I had £68 of credit in my account which they never told me about, so I've now got £168 of credit. I won't bother with BT Sport just yet, as it's nearly the end of the season. I'll take it out come August.

Guys need some advice as I feel I'm paying to much , thanks .

I have Sky fibre and all Tv packages , my phone and fibre are contracted in until December but paying £29.24 for fibre , line rental , Skytalk anytime extra and voice mail. I'm happy with this.

I'm not so happy with my tv package bill and will be out of contract end of next month .

1. Variety with sports and movies £63.81
2. Sky multi room £9.01
3.Sky+HD Pack £11.25

So £84.07 a month on tv subscriptions , will I be able to negotiate a significant discount or be in a strong position to get Sky Q for the same money ?

Your advice please.
