*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Oh really will look at virgin to then and prices.

So With the play lists i assume you can set it to record each episode each week etc ( series link as you can on Sky Q)

Can you use ethernet connection or is it wifi only on these would you know ?

Will look into this more when back in from work

Thank you

If you add a series, then it automatically adds every single episode available. The new ones would automatically appear on the playlist when they become available, you don't have to keep adding them like you would a recording.

Yes, there's a network port on the box.

The only annoying thing about Sky stream is the initial setup. As you are basically using every streaming service for all the things you watch, you do have to sign in at multiple places... Example: Amazon, Netflix, Disney, BBC iPlayer, channel4, ITV etc. Doesn't take that long, but that's probably the most frustrating part if you can't remember passwords or have to sign up for accounts for these services, however you only have to do it once. Once all done, everything is seamless, so if you search for a movie, it will search absolutely everywhere then just play it without having to say go into the apps seperately to find what you want to watch.

Just logged into the MySky app and sure enough under "communication preferences" email, telephone, post and sms are off!

Changed that! But states can take upto 28 days to process....

Good shout though! I do have a diary note to call them a few days before
If they don't get in touch, ring the win back number and make up that you missed a call. Just be polite about it, and you should get a decent offer.

Thanks “Again” buddy! :)

Will take a look closer to the time, and Im always polite! ;)
They rang me once IIRC, but text me a few times.

Not sure what the ring back team are on, but the number with 451 at the end is what I'd go with looking at the pattern.

They also sent a leaflet with the return box which had a number on too, but I returned it with the Sky equipment and wrote 'lol, £5 for HD in 2023' or similar on the back of it.

Just going through the cancellation shenanigans. Was offered sky stream for the following:

Sky entertainment £13 for 9 months
Sports £25
Netflix premium £8
UHD £6
Whole home £12
Broadband 500mb £23

Is this a good deal? Decided to put my cancellation in anyway whilst I think about it.

Still think that is a lot to pay , you try to call the win back team at Sky they should give you a better offer
Netflix for £8 got mine for £0
You paying for normal HD ? or is that free ?

In case it helps anyone, Sky called today and I managed to get a deal which was far better than anything I had been offered before.

Skystream - Free No setup/admin/delivery fees
Sky enteratinment
Sky Sports UHD
Advert free - free for 6 months
£34 on an 18 month contract.

Have you let your sky cancel or were in the 30 day notice period to get that?

Mine was switched off last week and the best I’ve managed on chat was signature, sports, hd and multiroom for £50.
I’d been out of contract for 8 months or so. I just kept calling them every once in a while kept getting the standard offer of £45 Sports HD etc. My bite point was always £38 or lower, which was what I was paying 2-3 years ago.
