Thanks fella , just think i was paying all of the above including movies at 75 % discount which works out at £37.50 for 12 months , i was thinking sky would not give me the 75% discout again

What is a good deal for what i want for 12 months ?

Complete package , no movies , including Sports HD , Fibre Broadband + Line Retal , HD ?

My Mum has Virgin Media and she pays around 70 a month.

Ive looked at Top cashback and see that they have around £150 available to people taking the family package and broadband.

She says shes happy for me to swap it over for her as its a lot of money. Sky also offer £100 vouchers for MandS or Tesco so that seals the deal even more.

It works out around £56 per month but once you consider the Cashback offers its probably the equivalent of around £36.

Would I be right in just going for this or is there a better way to do things?
 
I have a question. How does a Sky or Virgin TV package work via Freeview TV? By this I mean for example the Sky package says it offers 35 channels but is this total? so about 1/2 of what's already on freeview or is this 35 channels and you get all the normal freeview stuff as well? Seems weird to pay for a subscription but ending up with fewer channels than you can get over a freeview antenna set up.
 
Sky has all the Freeview channels you would want. I think you lose the rubbish shopping channels and Gay Rabbit or whatever they call it these days.
 
Family Bundle, HD, Line Rental, Broadband and Multiroom. I'm currently paying around £60-65, I've put my notice in and they have come back with a deal for £49.50.

I'm still holding out, hoping I can get nearer to £40 a month.
 
Just renewed mine, we only really watch Atlantic.
our bill was going to go upto almost 50 a month including multiroom.
Ditched multiroom and got

Sky HD Family Pack
60% Discount for 12 month (whichever package I choose)
4 month free
No contract

My line and BB connection are already sorted elsewhere.
Dont really watch sport and the movies are horrendous anyway lol

Is this the watch on a PC thing or do you mean the NOW TV ticket system? I actually use that NOW TV daily ticket a fair bit to to watch my local Football Team when they are on Sky Sports. The number of times they are on doesn't really justify a full subscription to Sky Sports.
 
Have to laugh, Sky called me 4 times during the 30 cancellation period and the most they offered me after 14 years was 35% off.

I log in today to ensure my bill is zero and get presented with this.

I'm sure the latest windows updates messed up something to do with Silverlight, there was a framework update I got a feeling it was that. I had Sky Go working fine through Firefox (Your right Chrome no longer supports Sky Go) but now I cannot get it working at all. Have even tried Microsoft Explorer vanilla and didn't have any more luck with that either.

Lots of people are having the same issues too. Last time it seemed to 'fix itself but doesn't seem like Sky like to acknwoledge when theres problems.
 
Ahh found the answer myself. They are in talks with BT and haven't yet decided how they will deal with it. Hopefully it gets added onto the other BT sport channels you get with a virgin media XL package but could be an extra fee.
 
BT are starting to roll out charges for BT Sport now, it's not even going to be free for BT Broadband customers soon, they have already announced they are going to be charging £5 a month to access Champions League content. It was a way for them to stop the flow of people changing their Broadband supplier originally but it's costing them a lot.
 
I rang BT to cancel BT Sport (I have it on Sky), they asked why and I said I only watched the football on it, so they gave it to me for free till August. Although I still have to pay the £3 odd HD charge.
