So Unfair

the only thing I can see is that warranty table as above, it should have been updated coz Ive been mislead,

Not quite. It could/should be edited now, because now a misunderstanding has arisen from it. And nobody working for OcUK has misled you.

Understand how you feel though, to have your expectations dashed like that. My own GPU is in RMA at present.

Hang on, the reason why I ordered the Inno3d was because of the warranty guide states that its overclockers that deal with the RMA 48-72 hour turn around, now you saying your sending the card to Tawain? this is turning into a nightmare and its gonna take ages...

Im also told overclockers do the testing to verify the fault? so why bother if you gonna send it to the other side of the planet? so lame

Sorry about that, I really am. I just went by what was said in a forum post, kinda misleading for me to say the least.

Inno3D (Warranty is exceptional as it is with OcUK.) >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28293305&postcount=9

I'm going to update, so that the information is in line with what has been said within this post. The reality is, the warranty is no different to any other retailer.

if i ask overclockers to add some credit on my account, minus £50 from the 450 i paid do you think they will do that? that way I can add some more money and buy 2 390x cards or 1 980ti.....

Ive already sent the card back so overclockers have it now,the heat sink is perfect, not a single spec of dust to be seen on the card, I regularly air dust my PC, I know 100% its the card as it was tested on another PC with the same issues, and a another card on my PC, again no issues.

I should have done my research as Evga will send you a replacement card before you send out the faulty one.

Awesome. Always worthwhile checking. I've had pets and lived in real dusty area's (near quarries) so I'm used to checking my components. Good to hear.

Sorry, you have to wait. I'm actually not surprised at the time though.

That chart you showed... where was that from?

It's from this >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18231329

I do keep it updated every 6 months or so, but as I mentioned, when you see this posted, it's kind of misleading for me to interpret what they really are saying. "Inno3D (Warranty is exceptional as it is with OcUK.)"
Now we know all that means is you don't have to ship it to Taiwan, which isn't a bad thing, but still. You should deal with the retailer anyway, not the manufacturer, so it's nothing new.

OK guys, i made my decision, i will not wait for a lengthy rma, and I hate my laptop, therefore I have decided to buy a new GPU

Im on a tightish budget, cant go past the 350ish mark, or 300 is ideal

I like the look of a 390 8gig but problem is Ive got a swift PG278Q gysnc monitor, will that cause problems?

next option is the 970 but that limited ram issue has kinda put me off but is it really an issue?

And that's the reason why RMA's are lengthy. :D

If you can't wait, then how about a second-hand 980? That way you can run them in SLI when the other is returned/replaced. Don't know if mobo/PSU are up to the task though.

If you have a Gsync monitor, I'd definitely stick with Nvidia.

I'd look for a second hand 980. You could probably get a decent overclocked, non-reference cooler version for around the £300. Don't be put off by your current situation, you probably just had bad luck.

When my GPU packed up I had to wait 2 weeks. For gaming I played on the iGPU and was just limited to playing commander on BF4. I wouldn't make a hasty decision by buying another card, unless your livelihood depends on it.

Your not the only one to be annoyed by this statement of the warranty being with OCUK, I posted about Gibbo stating it was with OCUK as well as I'm still waiting for my Inno30Day card to come back.

Fair enough I had time issues in returning it due to life and basically in the time frame replacing my whole PC to test the damn card out with other components but its bit hard to swallow or understand when the statement from the staff differs from the actual actions that take place.

Link to my quote of Gibbo's warranty statement: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28297056&postcount=20
Thread it was in: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18680819

I think Hobib_ali you just need to chock this one up to experience and know not to buy with such statements in future.

Looks like I'll alter XFX as well >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18658752

It was supposed to be 48hr Advanced RMA swap out service by OcUK >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18612805

To be fair id scrub the whole post and ask ocuk bailey or someone to populate it as i reckon it's gonna be 80% wrong as it currently stands...

This thread though is why i wouldn't order £400 cards from a b grade brand like inno3d..m sorry you got burht.

Nelly it will be the same for all brands

If your card is DOA or develops a fault within 28 days then OCUK will offer a 48-72hr RMA turnaround. However if a fault occurs after the previously stated time period then RMAs go back to the manufacturer and turnarounds can take up to 28 days.

But.. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28293305&postcount=9

Surely he's saying the inno3D warranty lies with OCUK themselves here.... Yet this chaps card is being shipped off to Taiwan.

These certainly needs to be updated and made clearer.

OCUK staff are making sales/promotional threads basically saying 'don't worry about RMA - we'll sort it for you' and what they're writing is obviously incorrect.
