It has failed again and I notice it's everytime I turn on the tv. Does anyone else have this problem?
Is wifi not an option for you ? i have never had an issue personally... are you running the latest firmware version?

Is there a way to rectify or make the clouding less noticable on the screen? This is how mine looks:

What's the technical term for that anyway, backlight bleeding???
Hey guys, thinking of joining the party and picking up this model:

Will this kit:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/VESA-Adapte..._sim_ce_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=08XWF3VVFT4KY947BGET
allow it to fit to this stand securely?

Thanks in advance.
Hi yes i have this kit and it will work fine with that stand.
I have mine mounted on a similar tv stand no problems.
Odd question, but do the newer Sony TVs still show the Sony logo and play a little sound when they turn on? I've got an older 2010 (I think) model and it does this, just wondered if they still do or if they're instant-on now.

The light is coming from the corners indicating the panel is tight there or the tv frame is a little twisted backwards.
Try applying a little forward pressure on the left and right of the tv to straighten it out.
Be careful and do it with the screen on in the dark to ensure you are getting the desired results.
I installed this badboy (the 55") on Sunday. It's glorious.
We had an aerial installed yesterday, it looks as though it's going through a booster. However the picture quality isn't great and it glitches every now and again.
I'm not too worried about the quality as it's just a standard SD signal but the gitches concern me a little.
Is there a way of testing if it's the signal of the digital converter inside the TV?
It's not completely unbearable, I get either a split second picture or sound glitch every few minutes but if the TV is at fault I'd like to get it sorted.
Did you buy that adapter kit you was asking about a few posts up in the end? forgot to mention that its included with the tv! 55" version only apparently
Don't even know what that is.
But a quick look at the app it seems to be a way to play older games on the TV by just plugging in a controller?
aka cloud gaming?
