Yeah, we're doing ok with that at the moment. We have Pogba, Shaw, Smalling, Jones, Young, Pereira, McT, Lingard, Rashford, James (assuming he signs) and Lukaku currently. Then Chong, Tuanzebe, Garner, Gomes, Greenwood, Henderson as youth players that might play in the first team in the near future. We're not too desperate to sign homegrown players really.

Lukaku seems pretty sure he's leaving:

"It's good to see Conte joined Inter, for me he is the best manager in the world. I've already taken a decision about the future but I can't reveal it because I have a contract with #mufc and because I respect the club."

Brexit MIGHT cause huge problems with this list - but seemingly even the clubs don't know exactly how this will fall (don't get me wrong it could cause issues for every EPL club) - believe this even affects homegrown status

Certainly helps if Utd focus on British players this summer though.

rumours that a £53m deal for AWB has been completed last night - but wont be announced for a while as he is in Italy? for the U21 Euros currently, helped by the player coming out with the "dreaming of playing for Utd" no doubt.

Also rumours that Utd are actually cutting back on planned recruitment this summer even if we do sell the likes of Lukaku , Pogba etc

Certainly wouldn't surprise me if Utd only got a RB, centre half and Rabiot on a free (only mentioned the latter because it would be a free, no idea if this will happen). Bruno is starting to sound very like the Herrera debacle from a few seasons ago, when Utd " representatives" were turned away the summer before he arrived.

Hopefully we can fleece them for a lot of money!

Clubs in Italy don't have the same levels of cash - so unlikely we will fleece them that badly, Even at this early stage there is already talk of being paid in instalments over multiple summers just to get the deal done.

Can't see any Utd fan giving a toss even as an outsider I think he is over rated in the prem league by far even before he joined Utd

If /when he does go, think he was harmed at Utd by not signing Perisic in the same summer two years ago. Utd's right has been so weak for too long, and no one at the club really feeds Lukaku from wide positions like he was at Everton (not helped by our free kick / corner kickers being so atrocious).

I think he got 27ish goals across all comps in 18/19 which wasn't bad considering everything, this season he has had a bit of a nightmare admittedly

We have signed two mediocre players for way more than they are worth (if AWB rumour is true), so seems about right we should stop there and prepare ourselves for another amazing season!

Rabiot might be "free" but he will command a massive singing on fee and wages. This "free" transfer talk is a myth really.

Fekir linked with Liverpool again i see...yawn.

Out of interest, what would you like United to do? Personally I think Solskjaer and Woodward are finally starting to go about things the right way, I like the players we've signed/been linked to and they seem to be trying to get rid of the troublemakers and underachievers. We've tried signing the finished product star players and they haven't worked out, so we're now targeting talented youngsters with a view to building a squad for the next ten years.

Speaking of United transfers, it's excellent news that United have rejected the chance to sign Bale, he'd be a terrible signing at this stage in his career, considering how expensive he'd be and how injury prone he is. It shows that Woodward might finally be starting to learn his lesson.

Not really seeing the AWB is mediocre talk, he was pretty damn good last season and still very young. Was there a RB that had a better season defensively? No one springs to mind, there can't have been many.

He has the potential to be competing with the likes of TAA for that position for England in the future, forget the likes of Walker. That's the key word - potential, which is what United are paying for. It will be interesting to see how he progresses this year.

Of course the wages will be heavily inflated, never suggested otherwise.

50k/week (which is nothing in this day and age) for 4 years is ~10m - generally how these things work, its just added on to the wages throughout the deal

Given Utd need to get in quite a few players (whether they will or not is another matter of course) at least that 10m , that wasn't paid in transfer fees, is there to spend on James or whoever else

AWB wasn't mediocre at all, he was well up there in every defensive aspect over the season, and should improve given that was his first season in the EPL and he is only 21.

Overpriced? hmmm given he is British and CP have no reason to sell, probably better buy than Kyle Walker a year or two ago for ~£50ish m

Im very surprised Woodward has rejected the chance to sell a massive shirt seller, but there is always another around the corner for him to fawn over, so don't celebrate too early.

James (from BM) is the new rumour (or old, rumour rehashed, depending on which way you want to look at it) although Im not sure what he has done in the last 3 or so years to ***** woodwards ears.

It sounds to me like James Rodriguez is being heavily linked to Napoli, I think it's just another case of United's name being thrown in there to force Napoli's hand. He wouldn't be the worst signing in the world, certainly more suitable than Bale imo, but he's a long way off the player who starred at the 2014 World Cup. Maybe he could recover that form, but I don't think we need to be signing another out of form player who probably wouldn't suit the PL.

Who was the guy that got arsey with me when I said that James was a luxury player that nobody really wanted? Mendes will be scrambling to find somebody that will take James and I wouldn't bet against him being used as a bargaining chip in any negotiation for an in demand Mendes player. Mendes needs to get Mourinho in a high profile job before he ends up having to send James to Wolves.
