Summer Transfer Thread 2019

£80mill for Maguire  transfer market is nuts.

Anyhow now that we did some stonking business with the Pepe deal, arsenal now have to go and get a defender or 2. Hopefully get Tierney over the line come the end of transfer window.

If were getting rid of Lukaku for pace were deffo not in for Mandzukic. Well play the United way again flat out for 96mins ;)

Dybala would not be a good swap though he is small, Argentines in England can flop remember Veron? Hes a fine little player but theres better ways to spend the Lukaku money. Like Savic or Ronaldo would Lazio be in for Lukaku? A swap with Savic would enable us to have a dynamic midfield of Savic Mc Tominay Pogba.

I've got the impression it's a swap deal rather than Lukaku being sold though?

This forum...how is 72 million for Pepe "Stonking business" ?

edit

80 mil for a premier league proven cb is better then 72 mil for Pepe....imo of course.

I can kind of understand that, but saying the transfer market is nuts with 80m on a proven defender but 'stonking business' with 72m on an unproven winger is...impressive

Well he has done well to be noticed in a league where the focus is mainly on PSG, and he is at an age where he could still improve. If he matches last years stats, 22 goals and 12 assists. And we get into the top four, then it will be money well spent.

I love the recent transfers. Arsenal and Man u continuing to cripple them selves for years to come. Buying over priced british talent (maguire, AWB) and paying rashford 250k a week and continuing to spend stupid money on attacking players when the whole of your defence and central midfield is relegation battle worthy. Going to laugh very hard when they finish 5th and 6th again.

Can you tell me next weeks lottery numbers aswell?

Lets be honest, VVD wasn't the player he has proven to be when you signed him. He would easily go for over £100m now. I'm not convinced by Maguire massively but if he does what we hope and makes our defence more solid then it will have a rippled effect throughout the team.
I'm not honestly not sure - it's difficult to say he's improved from a technical point of view since we signed him anyway. Back when we were first linked with him I said he was perfect for us but in reality he's perfect for everybody - he literally has everything, pace, power, great in the air, great on the ball, calm, composed, leadership. If he were to leave now you'd be looking at £150m+, he's that good and it's no surprise that he, along with Messi, is favourite for the ballon d'or.
