Summer Transfer Thread 2019

Shame Kos has to leave like this, but it is what it is. He wasn’t good enough anymore and too injury ravaged. Got a few quid for him, but it’s £90k pw off the wage bill. If Jenks to Forest goes through, that’s another £45k off the weekly bill.

Bit worried about these Willock and Bayern rumours. He’s our best youngster imo. Can’t be letting him go this early in his career.

Champions league finalist last season to not even playing in the champions league this season. Surely a step back? The only reason he will go, if he does, is for more wages. I wonder how many United fans that criticised Bale for staying put on his wage rather than leaving to try and win something will suddenly say it’s ok to go to United for the money?

Or you know he's leaving because he wants to win something. As fun as it is to say you've reached a final. Even in our 'poor period' we've won a hell of a lot more than Spurs.

Well most sucessfull teams played like that for balance its true he has no legs or pace lol. But did Ronaldo track back on one side? Hes a great player if he is not playing as a 10 where then? Lingard and James instead?

There is one thing i learned, United are rubbish for posession and shots in target. This may change with Eriksen but for me i would want to reduce the amount of lost posession. Thats what two wingers do they dribble most of the time and do nothing. So it pains me to see Ole go old fashioned. Truth be told Mata Martal are the best players out wide at the club unless you want to keep giving the ball away to Mo Salah etc?


They need to look at that position, United need a CM and a playmaker RW like Mata. Eriksen or Fernandes would be a part of that i prefer Eriksen though.

So RM and a ridiculous salary vs complete obscurity in China and ridiculous money. Totally the same as a player who has clearly let their contract run down because he doesn't want to stay at a club. If you were putting money on the side that will win you the most trophies out of Spurs and United you will still put your money on United over the next 5 years. No one cares about getting to the CL final when they have retired. They want trophies.

Why didn't everyone flock to Leicester after they won the league? Because it was a freak occurrence. I like Spurs and they have a good side and manager but be honest, how likely are they to win the CL in the next few years?

Mata has none of the required qualities for being top class on the wing, in the middle or behind the front two. Hes a very poor mans Silva. Too slow, too one footed, off the pace of the game usually, loses the ball under any pressure and he can't beat a man.

exactly, you have to give and hold but do it at the right time, you can be slow or fast but you must get to the line, they will always hit you and hurt, defend and attack. Barnes showed these idiots the way back in 1990...................................................
 
Wilson to Bournemouth done, honestly this window is baffling I just do not get klopps plan.

Sturridge not replaced
Moreno not replaced
No back up for Bobby either

Origi extension still not convinced he will come good.

Ox doesn't play on the wing so isn't a back up to mane or salah, klopp hasn't and will not sign a quality back up.

We imo were lucky salah, Mane, Bobby didn't really have any long term injuries last season, said it time and time again the drop off is too much.

If klopp is sticking to this plan I see no reason for Wilson to go would have been plenty of chances to play him on the wing.

Lallana is not like a new player either despite what he and henderson says imo.

I fear we will regret the choice of not strengthening the team
 
One would assume, given the choice, he would go for the club with CL football if it’s just a loan deal.

All sounds like BS anyway, a day ago Spurs had apparently agreed a few for Lo Celso, agreed terms with Sessegnon and then in for Coutinho whilst having 62m accepted for Dybala. Long live twitter.
 
I can't believe we're just over a day away from the close of the window and have not signed a bloody defender yet. WTF is going on. We've actually got less CB's than we started with so far.
