Summer Transfer Thread 24/25

My point is that he isn't just 33 he is another year older and another year past his peak.

With few exceptions all players fall off a cliff performance wise between 31 and 34 normally.

Fair enough, thought you were defending him. He will do half a job at Everton but surprised he isn't pushing for a last big payday Saudi move

All I’d like to see now is Sancho to Juventus and a deadline day Rashford to PSG.

Given Rashford is a guaranteed starter I don't think he's going anywhere :(

Sales are good, a long season (few years, realistically speaking) ahead though.

Did McTomminay contribute more than Gashford last season?

I think it is more to do with FFP than anything. McSauce is free money.

I will always remember him for this though.

shame, liked the lad and he always tried to gave his all which is more than can be said of some his more talented team mates. hope him all the best for the future.

statistically i've no idea but i'd have mctominay at the club over rashford irrespective of numbers on a spreadsheet. rashford's pishy attitude would depress a corpse.

edit: enjoyed shearer calling out his positional awareness or lack thereof.

Glad to see a deal for McSauce nearly finalised. Good business all round. He's always given 100% even if his best is well short of what is required. Decent enough fee. Hopefully we will get another couple out the door before the end of the month.
Good luck Scott you have us some good moments.

DiMarzio reporting Chelsea have offered Sterling AND Chillwell in part ex for Sancho apparently. Very firm no from me.
Weird deal, wouldn’t surprise me if it went through.

United get yet another injury prone player as well as another cast off from another club whose wage demand will be massive, he’s on £300,000 p/w from what i’ve seen. Ticks all their boxes.

Chelsea somehow get a player they don’t want off their books, again.

United shouldn’t be going anywhere near either player. There has got to be a few academy players they’d take instead and get rid of Sancho that way.
