Papers clearly not giving up on the Pirlo to Chelsea rumour

I will be dissapointed if we don't let him go for that kind of money. Solid enough player but as I said he wouldn't get a regular slot in a top 4 club. I even think Arsenal have better CB's.

Constantly caught too far forward when we played in europe and never looked solid enough for england. Of our two regular CB's he's the one I'd be more happy we could easily replace.

The thing you have to remember is he's good getting forward, you had no strikers at all for large parts of the season, when he played left back he was a genuine threat because well, a lot of the time someone that big getting a bit of momentum is hard to stop. What if Moyes was simply telling him to help the team push fowards. He's very good but as you say for that kind of money its probably worth accepting, Yobo is still very very good and while Jag is injured theres a strong chance he'll make it back in not to long and if he doesn't have any complications and can stay fit then they make a good first team pair anyway.

AS for Rosicky, I think thats done, I said if he gets injured after his next game again I lose all hope.

Keep in mind he played 45 mins of the first preseason game and missed the next 3 games injured already, he played longer this weekend and is now out for 6 weeks, whats the point at this stage. Personally I still think with a couple certain players who keep getting reinjured in training, we're just not adjustable enough, IE Wenger won't start him unless he's training flat out, but training flat out isn't an option for him and staying fit.

We need not as stupid as the King situation, but we need to realise that some players need to train less to stay uninjured without just ignoring them.

Unless we buy a right winger now selling Eboue would be suicide, Theo is hopeless there, Eboue's not bad, Bendtner I also think isn't bad and maybe Wenger will ruin his career by playing him out of position there all year, who knows. I really like Rosicky, but seriously, you can't rest your hopes in a player that can't play 45minutes without getting injured.

Haha, I'm just kidding based on last nights performance. :p

Although Babel at RW isnt such a bad idea!

I really think Babel is a poor player. Ive had patience with him for a few seasons now and he just doesnt impress me.

1. Whats his best position?
2. Other than pace, what qualities does he have??

He's always played LW or FW, however he has no left foot so I really dont know how he's lasted so long being played there. He's got a belting right foot on him and with a bit of discipline could be an excellent right winger, but he needs to play there consistently. However, he's not going to get a (full) game there whilst Kuyt is on form, unless we start employing Kuyt in a forward role of a 4-4-2 (or drop him) which I cant see happening. It really frustrates me, because I think he could be a brilliant right winger.

I didn't mind when he played Left Back he could just about get away with it. When he played CB he was left wanting and left massive holes or Jag had to tidy up for him. I'd be happy to keep him but for that money it's pure madness not to sell.

From his point of view as well, he's not a top earner and City are offering the kind of money you pay a rooney or a torres. No brainer all round.

I said at the beginning of the rumour, sell him move Yobo to the middle and buy a right back.

I can't see us being anything other than a top 10 ish side this year. We haven't really brought anything more into an already small squad apart from Jo on loan all season.

I don't think many Spurs fans actually call him a flop, he's merely not progressed as we would have hoped and/or fitted well into the team. Getting the money we did for him is good business as well.

Defoe 26 years old with 34 caps, 8 goals,
Keane 29 years old with 90 caps, 39 goals,
Crouch 28 years old with 34 caps, 16 goals,
Pavluchenko 27 years old with 27 caps, 11 goals,

That is a great strike force that I'm happy with as it gives us options and depth. Talk of still trying to get Huntelaar, I can't see it happening though personally.

Still only 22, i think Liverpool really need to give him more time considering the dosh they shelled out for him. There's no point getting rid of him, they would get peanuts for him and they would turn in their graves if he suddenly started banging 10+ in. We see this happen all the time!

I actually really like him as well, seems the type of player though that you do need patience with and maybe a manager to put an arm around him and give him the confidence to express his natural game - how many cliché's were there in that sentence :p

I think had he gone to Arsenal instead of Liverpool he'd be an incredible player by now, alas Rafa has his favourites and if you're not one of them he wont persist with you
