**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Looks like John Mensah (centre back) is coming from Lyon to Sunderland on a one-year loan deal, with the option to buy at the end. I'm just glad Brucey got an extra defender with da Silva. Was hoping for Niell too, but it seems too many clubs are after him and I can see him going to West Ham anyway. Team is shaping up nicely for the coming season! :D

whydoes everything Macheda will be class after 1 good goal, and one fluky goal???????? suddenly hes the face of utd at times. pretty sad and a true case of people getting carried away. Villa Fan. Out

1. Bitter per chance:p
2. Have you watched him at any other time? He looks very good for a 17 year old and has a good pre season. Understandably he's one of our best prospects.

Im not going to knock Roon as I think given the centre position he craves he should be worthy of 16-20 goals (although he hasnt yet done this before)

05/06 Wayne Rooney Man Utd league goals 16

Other seasons he has large absences with injury, and being played out of position.

N'Zogbia is also a quality quality player, left back, left wing and can even play as a playmaker in the middle where he ran the Newcastle offence for a few games a long while back. Creative, pacey, good delivery, just chronically underused at Newcastle for some reason or another. Looked very decent since his move to Wigan and will only get better as his confidence and form grows IMHO.

N'Zogbia is absolutely ***** at left back and I can't remember when he was running the Newcastle attack, you'll have to remind me.

fair enough,no i havent watched him apart from the PL games. he could hold his own in the PL i know that much, however i think its wrong to pile so much pressure on the lad, you cant go Rooney, Berbatov...............Macheda????? he was unknown up until last season, no discussion nothing, not even any comments on his reserve games. i just think people need to steady the boat and reserve judgement until he pulls the strings on a more regular basis.

Really REALLY hope we give Dos Santos a good run of games this season.

He has been nothing short of superb for Mexico. Our best young prospect at the club atm, followed by Naughton and Bale.

West Ham appear to be skint as they are being linked with lots of people but it never seems to go any further.

on one hand as well Al Fayed is saying spend money then on the other they are after Mark Viduka on a free?

it must be so easy being a sports writer

Well Fuhlam need to add to our squad quite a bit, signing players on a free will allow more money to add to contracts (specifically Hangeland/Dempsey), and to bolster the squad, needing more players in Midfield/Defence, and i'd say Kamara is on his way out for £3-5m, Viduka as a bench player, leaving one other striker signing, as Nevland/Viduka would be the older strikers Fulham have.

Bentley crashed a Bentley ?

Official Statement on OS:

David Bentley Statement
I should like to apologise to my Club and the supporters for my actions which led to my car accident last night and my subsequent charge. It was wholly unacceptable and I fully appreciate that as a professional footballer I have a duty to behave in a reputable and responsible manner. I am thankful that nobody was injured in the accident. This has been a wake-up call for me both personally and professionally.

Which is totally bizarre because no one knows what happened and it hasn't even reached the media. :p

Ah, drink driving, the tart.

TROUBLED England soccer ace David Bentley was charged with drink driving after smashing his Porsche into a lamppost at 3am.

Bentley, 24 — who was found three times over the limit — was found standing near the wreckage of his black 911 on a dark country lane in Northaw, Herts.

He said: "I should like to apologise to my Club and the supporters for my actions which led to my car accident last night and my subsequent charge.

Troubled? What is he troubled about? Paid mega bucks for warming the bench.

Thank god for this!

The Club is delighted to announce that Clint Dempsey has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2013.

Phew. Now at least if he goes, Fulham get good money.
