**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Torres signed a new deal worth £110,000 a week only last month and now we're meant to believe Jonhson's earning £30,000 more? Daily Fail: written by retards, read by retards.

Thats a touch harsh.

I read the daily mail...its entertaining and the stories are amusing (the user comments on the articles at the website even more so). Dont think I am a retard though....I might be...but I dont think so....or possibly I dont think so because I am !! Now that bears thinking about.

Sorry, just think it's an atrocious paper for sport. Very little of what they report is true and very rarely do they provide quotes or sources. Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of their stories were made up on the spot or pinched from football fans forums.

lol, they'll probo play him at left back considering thats the 3rd right back they've bought and Chimbonda played left back at Sunderland and I think sometiems for Spurs. Which almost certainly means Warnock is off, replacing Warnock with Chimbonda is a incredibly stupid thing to do as Blackburn were going to struggle this year as it was, losing their best defender to put in a horrifically bad and mistake prone defender on his weak side, just makes me think they'll be deeper in the relegation fight this year.

How were we going to struggle? Our position last season was mainly due to the calamitous reign of Ince. We've got a quality, hard working squad and we've been very unlucky not to take points so far this season. Yes we've taken a gamble on some strikers however they need time to settle in and i'm sure that we'll get a decent, possibly high mid table finish this season.

I agree he's not a great replacement for Warnock and in all honesty, i'm against the sale of someone who I consider to be our best player; but if you had any idea about our team you'd see that Givet has been playing at left back recently meaning Chimbonda will likely take a more central/covering role. This signing will also allow Emerton to be used a bit more in his natural position, as a right midfielder as Salgado, Jacobsen and Chimbonda. Jacobsen, like Chimbonda also has the experience to play in the centre of defence if need be so if anything the signing of Chimbonda does strengthen the back line.

Gareth Bale on loan to Newcastle, apparently.

Can he play LW as well as LB? I can't see him replacing Enrique an I dooubt he'd want to move to sit on the bench.

Still just rumour like at the moment.

For some reason I thought Robben was 29/30, he's only 25! Seems like he's been around forever.

Its the hair, he just looks older, if that were me I'd be horrified to go bald so young, but getting 100k a week like he does probably softens the blow a bit. He's still young, very very good with years ahead of him, yes a bit of a diver, a bit soft, won't go into 50/50's, not sure why thats a problem. Who wants a midget going into 50/50's against Palacios, its an injury waiting to happen.

I don't want him at Arsenal because he does dive to much, he's chelsea and meh, but most teams in the league would do very well with him onboard. Especially those without wingers/pace in the side. At 25 even a relatively big price would be good value for him, proven quality, proven goalscorer and provided, great pace, bit girly, didn't stop him helping Chelsea win titles tbh.

For a period of about 6 months Robben was arguably the best player in the league for Chelsea. He was probably Madrid's best player for the last 6 months of last season as well.

He would be a decent buy for any of the top 4 except his dodgy injury record and probably the only player on the planet who is as greedy as Ronaldo.

Robben is a great player, it's his diving etc that ruins him, if he cut that down (has he?) he'd be great for any team, definitely in the Premiership again.

Agree, on form he's right up there with the best in the world. Very quick and gifted running with the ball, proven in the premier league.

Keep him fit, and try and curve his diving and you have a wonderful player.

South Africa midfielder Kagiso Dikgacoi will join up with English Premier League side Fulham on Thursday after finally receiving his UK work permit.

Good news on that, especially with a few injuries. For tomorrows game we have no Murphy, A Johnson, Zamora, or Konchesky .

Seems Stoor is becoming a trouble maker, and seems to have told Elm not to join Fulham, and saying he wants to leave, and we are asking for too much .. hmm.
