Still, saying he's arguably the best central defender in the league is just ridiculous. Yeah arguably he is, if you're an idiot or just talking about defenders named Joleon.

He's wasn't even the best CB at Everton let alone the best in the EPL. The first thing the reporters should have asked is why did you try to sign terry then? :D

Roy Keane getting desperate!

I'm really disappointed with his signings so far at Ipswich. He might be a decent coach, but his transfer dealings are shocking. He should work beneath a director of football to be honest. Roy Keane would probably be fantastic at a continental club with their coach/director of football/president setup. Keep Roy Keane away from the transfer targets as far as possible.

I think he can be a great motivator, but the confidence at the moment around Ipswich is rock bottom and he's not helping things. I'm really afraid he's going to spend the best part of £10m in this window (he's already spent ~£4m) but fail to improve on the poor start, get annoyed and walk around christmas. :(

Looks like FC Twente are trying to take David Carney away from Sheff Utd. Oh god I hope so!

Steve McLaughingstock do just this one thing for me and all is forgiven!

Looks like Fulham are set to sign Marc Janko on loan, should be a good signing for us, especially being about 6 ft 6. Also rumours with another defender too.. Hopefully something will happen anyway..

What is Southgate playing at, after our fantastic start to the season with a clean sheet in every league game why is our best defender having a medical at STOKE !

Have you not thought about you being in the Championship, and your players wanting to play in the Premiership. Not many clubs being relegated keep hold of their best players.

Stoke agree terms with the boro for Tuncay

good signing for them, not sure how he will fit in with their, er, robust style of play

and as for keane and Ipswich....Leadbitter will be a good signing, he has an eye for goal and has scored some great ones for us, hes a strong tackler as well and can run all day

he simply isnt going to get a game for sunderland with the players we have bought though

he could easily do a job for one of the newly promoted premiership teams to be honest..same with edwards, again cracking shot on him, lost a bit of pace after his injury, but proven at championship level

as for Noz..yes he can make the odd mistake but he is quick and can often recover it, decent in the air and powerful..again I'm suprised if he's available one of the newly promoted teams hasnt come in for him
Murphy? I would walk to ipswich with him on my back if he wanted to go

but on the whole keane is looking at players who helped get us promotion 3 seasons ago.

6m though it's being reported? I doubt Southgate has a say tbh, he wouldn't sell his best defender unless he's been told too.

Fortunately for Boro they have two ideal replacements in Mad Dog and Riggott, not sure when they are back though.

It's weird if Stoke get both Huth and Tuncay.

Huth and Tuncay would be two great signings for Stoke but even better for Newcastle (by making Boro weaker).

Does this mean Shawcross will leave? I know Liverpool were linked but they've now signed that Greek blokey.

Hopefully Shawcross will stay and play along side Huth with Faye playing the defensive midfield position.

If the reports on Sky are true and we do get Tuncay as well then thats excellent business for Stoke. Middlesborough must be really desperate for cash if they let them both go for a combined 10 million fee (source sky sports news).
