Wonder who Wednesday will keep / bring in at the end of the season, in all fairness I can't see many staying.

How many here think Wenger is no longer the man to manage the club? For the past few seasons he's just kept making the same managerial mistakes over and over, I don't think I want him out (who would we even replace him with?) but I'll be judging him on what happens in the next transfer window. Just because we have a fairly deep squad he seems to think that they are all quality players when clearly some of them shouldn't even be playing in the EPL, let alone Arsenal, and then when you see people like Denilson get rewarded for mediocrity with a new contract it just beggars belief.

Having seen some of Neuer's antics for Schalke I'm not too disappointed.

That was a freak goal. All great keepers do crazy stuff like that. He was brave enough to go after the ball and risk being kicked with a hige foot. Schmeichel had his fare shair of crazy moments.

Arsenal do well with Wenger, who else could come in, under that budget and get that much out of those players.

There is far too much dead wood at Arsenal.

That's the thing with Arsenal who could they get to come in? Because of what Wenger has made the club I doubt most managers would fit in there without drastically changing the style of play which you could argue the current set of players aren't capable of.

Seems to me that Arsenal are just happy with being the nearly club with an outside shot of winning things, not that they're out of this seasons title race yet of course.

In a way I do feel sorry for Arsene, the players really haven't been performing, the performance against Blackburn was absolutely gutless, but then on the other hand any sympathy I had for him during that game was instantly lost when he took Arshavin off, I can't remember who replaced him it was probably Diaby or Denilson. But when you need a goal from nothing you need to keep people like Arshavin on the pitch, he's been one of, if not our best player this season, he just isn't hyped up as much because he doesn't constantly sprint everywhere. As you said the title race isn't over yet, we will need a result against Utd though and unless something miraculous happens I don't see us pulling it off, but never say never.

Wenger needs to stay for a few more years, but I'm about ready to see the back of 2 or 3, maybe 4 players. I think Wenger has had enough of certain players too. I think we'll see a mini shake-up in the summer

Denilson, Almunia, maybe Diaby (as good as he can be, he's injured too regularly then inconsistent when fit) can all go. Song needs some competition, or at least some cover, need a fast wide player as when Theo is injured the team look half as threatening. Wouldn't mind a defender of some description too.

I watch Schalke regularly and his decision making when it comes to leaving his line is very suspect in general, last night was just one instance.

Yep thats the problem...when you have Denilson and Diaby playing then you know its desperate times...Squillaci was a terrible buy and Wenger should have never wasted any money on that fool...but seriously Wenger needs to overhaul this summer ie get rid of the deadwood currently rotting in our club....until he does so we will always be struggling to win any trophies.

Some decent defenders and a world class GK would be a great start but i cant see it happening as Wenger likes to buy budget players:(.

Doubt he'll go anywhere, Barca have already said they won't be improving last summer's bid. That's not enough unfortunately, about £20m off ..

Was their offer around £30,000,000 ?

When you see Carroll sold for 35 million I don't somehow think Fabregas is worth 5 million less than a hairy *****.

Yep, Vermaelen, Djourou and Koscielny are 3 good CB's, one more good one and I'm happy!

Word is that Squillaci was a last minute panic buy due to a deal for Subotic falling through at the very last second. Sounds like last summer Wenger really tried to sort stuff out with bids for Subotic, Kos and Reina
