Biz is an animal with some of these "debates" he's growing up, might make it in here after all.

Still would advise against an argument with G|mp or Baz or some of the other members mind, DM is a good starting point.

Baz i know you say he doesn't get stuck in and be competitive but wasn't there quite a few matches he made more tackles than Lucas and also he covered the most ground in the EPL?

I guess stats don't say everything and i see what you're saying, but i'd happily take him as a squad player and maybe he is suited to certain types of games, ala dirk for the big ones :p

I'm not sure whether he made more tackles than Lucas or not but there's been several times where he's pulled out of tackles or gone in half hearted. It's clear to me that Dalglish doesn't fancy him in the middle of the park; when Gerrard was suspended he could have stuck him alongside Lucas but chose Poulsen (Spearing was injured) and when came back from his suspension and got injured, Spearing played there.

I like Meireles and in an ideal world he'd be a great squad player but given everything we've been told about our owners and their philosophy, I can't see us keeping a 28 year old as a squad player if we were to get a decent offer for him. His value will only drop from now on and ~£15m or whatever we may get for him could be used to bring in a player that will be more than just a squad player.

Liverpool's.

Just the other week Guardiola mentioned that Liverpool's academy is the only other academy in the world that's on a par with Barca's. The fact that we stole the guys that ran their academy may have something to do with that.
